That is odd. You should call F-T and report the issue. Maybe they can fix it in software.

The way you described is the way I've always done it. I plug the interface in before launching the software, then connect everything to ecu when it specifies. Never has failed.

I tried every way known to mankind

In the end, no 1 method consistently worked. The FI flash ended up working when I kept the ecu plugged in.

Anyway, got there in the end but just a bit annoying. Will raise it with FT

I also have the 2.2 interface, might be a difference between us. Sorry for your troubles! I hope it gets worked out, but at least you got the flash completed.

Quick question.
If I'm only changing speedo settings and start in A mode, do I need to flash the FI as well ?
Thanks

Ask theses questions.
What image is on my ECU now?
What image will I end up with after the flash?
What image has been proven to produce more power and torque.
A speedo healer is a cheap aftermarket add on available anywhere.

Sorry, I don't think you understood the question. I already have a flashtune and have loaded maps etc.
I've put on a 16t front sprocket and so wanted to re flash with new settings. Oly I rather avoid flashing the FI again becoz it takes 5 attempts each time. See above. Was just wondering if the speedo settings and mode a settings change when you flash the FI or the ETV (or both)

No stress....didn't explain myself. Trying to avoid doing the FI flash again.

My personal experience with this hardwear is a clean power sorce and updated windows software seems to help quite a bit in the flashing process.
Cheers
Happy holidays

Had another dynorun this week, and is quite happy.
End results was 168 hp at the rearwheel, and a good liniar powercurve.
Need to scan the sheets from the dyno, but in the meantime is there a little video i took at one of the runs.

What's the purpose for blipping the throttle when the bike is in "clutch-in mode" on a dyno?

To clear out the cyl after the pull. I have been told that it also helps "cool" the cyl with the addition of fuel from blipping after a hard pull.

Makes sense, you usually don't run down the straight real hard then pull in the clutch and coast for a few miles...at least in a real world/track type of situation...

What would be a good # or #'s to put in the dropdown box when forcing idle to 1200 rpm, growing tired of the 1300-1500 rpm idle (depending on eng temp) Thanks guys.

, I am still using the stock idle setting, and is simply due to preference.
