not to forget that beasically everyone is saying that a company like ohlins were given a contract like for instance from aprilia, kawis used to their dampers, and that the company was like: "well, since we 2 major contracts with aprilia and kawi we're gonna put our lowest and crappiest product on those bikes so that we force them into purchasing a "aftermarket" damper from us again..."
it' so stupid to even consider that once a company has a contract with anyone (specially as much as these 2 bike makers were prolly paying ohlins for their product) that they (bike companies) would accept a subpar product or that ohlins would simply give them the lowest quality that they produce just to prove a point that their "aftermarket" is better than the "issued" damper! wake up people!!!

It is possible to receive a lower quality item when you mass produce but hardly believe that it would actually happen... You also have to put into perspective that the item in question (it being an upgrade that no other bike has) would perform as good as if you were to purchase it on your own or I'd like to think so! Otherwise then you're just paying 3-4k in parts that are obviously subpar to their equivalent aftermarket parts.
That would like saying that even thou the aprilia rsv4 factory which comes with marchesini rims, those aren't as good as the equivalent aftermarket counter part... Both wheels have been weighted I'm those forums and the difference is absolutely minimal!!!
But hey, if you're bike has X brand of damper, exhaust, suspension, wheels etc, etc... And you think that only by buying the aftermarket equivalent is the only way to actually receive the performance you should've received in the 1st place then go ahead and spend that cash! As long as its all worth it to you.
