After owning Kawi's, Suzuki's, Honda's, I figured it was time that I'd give Yamaha a shot. I picked up this R1 from Phoenix, AZ to see a different side of supersports.

Did you photoshop the girl onto your bike lol? If not, she has her foot on your rear brake caliper. I really like the bike. Who do you like the Scorpion Slip ons? I have been eyeing them for the '15 R1.
Nope, I photoshopped the caliper on the bike. Lol I like the Scorpions. They came on the bike, so I had no choice anyway. I probably would've gone a different route.

You got a good looking bike right there. I am a fan of the 07-08 R1's. But I could be a little biased since I have an 08. I actually picked my 08 up from Tucson and brought it to Phoenix. Love this bike, just wish I had more money so I can give her everything she deserves. lol
Nice. I specifically wanted an 07-08. I used to ride my brother-in-law's 2006 which was nice, but I do prefer the 07 look as far as fairings are taken into account. There have been quite a few R1's for sale in the Tucson area lately.
Yeah I definitely have some more parts coming in. I've only owned the bike for two weeks, so I'm doing pretty decent with getting everything together and installed.
Thanks! I usually shoot a few ideal foundation shots using the properly adjusted settings, then I post process the photos in Lightroom 5 and CS5 to get the fine details exactly how I want it.
Canon 60D
Canon 50mm 1.8 Prime Lens
Manual Settings only; shooting in RAW format :smile2:
The unfortunate thing is that it used to have matte side fairings which in my opinion would've been nicer, but the previous owner had a shop do a rear tire change and the tech low sided it. So they paid for the new gloss black fairings.
Looks good man, where did you get the gold decals? I'm doing the black and gold as well. I've also got gloss black mid fairings , I love mine :O
Just a suggestion, if you're going for the clean look these bar end mirrors are better imo. I went from the big ebay ones like you have to one of these and love it. One is all I need. Even though this one is smaller I feel like I can see better with it. The lens is higher quality and somehow is sort of magnified, hard to explain.
As for the mirrors, I don't doubt it at all. The mirrors are more than satisfactory for me since I'm used to them from having them on my last 4 bikes. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thanks, she sure is a cutie. That's why I married her. She gives me a hard time about posting her pictures (jokingly of course). There may be some more to come.
