Yeah it should start.

Better wait for confirmation from somone else, but I think the neutral switch is located at the back of the engine in front of the rear shock. You should see a black cable sheath. It is pretty obvious as there is a single cable there. Check the connector under the tank first naturally.

ok firstly I was right the directions I gave you are indeed for the neutral switch pls see attached sketch.

Having said that, is your neutral light coming up on your dash lights? If you put it into gear does it disappear. If so your neutral switch is fine.

The other switch you may be thinking of is the side stand kill switch where the wiring is close to the front chain sprocket.

no i know where and what the side stand switch does i just wasnt sure on the neutral switch and the reason i was asking for the help on locating it is cause the light on the display does not come on when its in neutral so i knew that that was the problem. i have also looked at that picture befor but couldnt quit make out where it was. so now that we both know that thats the problem im going to check the wire and if thats messed up try to fix it but if the wires good what do you thing need a new switch?

Test the switch if the wiring is fine. The switch either normally sends a negative signal through the wire when not in nuetral, or the other way around. So test for continuity between the engine case and the terminal on the switch.

Neutral switch is located on the rear of the engine under the starter motor.
