The person doing the Powdercoating should plug up any holes with threads in. And tape up any threaded rods.
Person who did mine just forgot one hole to plug up which caused a whole lot of powder to nestle inside the brake reservoir mounting hole on my 09 r1 passenger pegs, which led me to cross thread and snap the bolt.

All comes down to preparations

A friend of mine did powder coat the rear sets and passenger pegs of his gixxer 1000 k8.We dissembled everything prior to taking them to the shop. When we got them back and wanted to install them it was a pita.Because of the thickness of the coat we had to sand many parts to fit.In some spots we had to sand all the way to the metal.I want to do mine but i'm worried of this thing. How do you guys reassembled them? Was it easy?
