yup .. Let me see if I can get it right. The way that the front side of the tire groove is worn I believe that your rear shock is a bit too soft, making it wear it like that.

I think that's it, but he is the expert, I'm just trying to learn it

I can't afford to get to the track often enough to worry too much...but I've always been under the impression that the "lizard skin" look, of the middle of this tyre, was ideal?

Anyone else got an opinion?...

Na, the pic just doesn't show the rest of the tire, it looks weird but I had also turned the bike and it rubbed it flat on the right side of the tire(left looking straight ahead) Is that what you were talking about? The tire was like that evenly on both sides, it was just a shitty pic

I'm talking about the front part of the hole, see how it's in a "curved" shape, I think that's what we're talking about

...but in other words....rebound is on the soft side

I'm no expert. Just a fan

You're doing good, but try to explain damping in terms of slow or fast. It's less confusing.

Without pushing on the bike, I'd believe rex's bike to be a little slow on the rebound. It's fighting for traction after irregularities on the road surface. Opening the rebound a few clicks would clean that rear tire right up.

Looking at the front, we have rubber chewed off the trailing edge of the sipes, with a debris buildup on the leading edge. That is likely rebounding too fast. Adding a click or two to the forks should settle that.

Of the two (since I'm not crazy about changing too much too fast) I would focus on the rear. Especially since that is the wheel that gets the power.

In any case, neither is a huge problem, but it could be a little better. Might make the difference of getting an extra track day out of the set, or few hundred miles on the track
