FS: 09-14 R1 New Beater Aluminum Racing Fuel Tank - $1500 + Shipping

Hello R1 Forum,

Available for sale is a brand-new brushed-aluminum racing fuel tank for the 09-14 Yamaha R1. The tank was handmade in Japan by Beater (proof of origin included - see invoice picture). It is still brand new in the box. This beautiful tank is extremely light (2.9kg) and has increased fuel capacity (24.5L) compared to the stock tank. Priced at $1,500 obo. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Does anyone know what the stock iron tank weighs? Is this considered plug and play?

Hi Masao,

All tanks use the stock fuel pump, and fit stock airboxes etc,so fit is the same as your stock tank. Beater tanks are available in 2 thicknesses,1.5mm and 1.2mm. My tank is the 1.5mm version. 1.5mm are 40 percent lighter than stock tanks.

For anyones knowledge, the Yen rate at the time of invoicing was extremely similar to the current yen rate....

So he paid roughly 1,832.0945 US Dollar.

Killer tank, nice price, GLWS!

Willing to reduce the price significantly for serious buyers. This exotic gas tank is still brand new in the packaging. Be one of the few people to own an authentic racing tank handmade in Japan. Improved weight reduction, fuel capacity, and style! Please PM me if interested. Thanks!
