i have a 2008 r1 and im getting the same code
( er_4 ) when i go into self diag mode and soon as it pops up the bike if running will cut off and if i try to start it while the code is on the display ( still in diag mode ) i have to give it some gas otherwise it will not start ???? i have narrowed it done to the ecu and an input signal error dealing with non received data ?? i inspected my wires and harnesses going into the ecu and the only thing i see is where the power commander is tied in so could that be the issue ? i didmt install the pc5 so i dont know if the code was there before the installation or a result of it ? please any help would be really appreciated
Bikes been sitting there for 7 weeks since i have been away. Came back took it for a ride and the bike was idling as high as 3000rpm and as low as 1000 rpm. And when i was decelerating from high rpms the bike was still reving as the rpms were dropping. When i came to a stop i tried to switch modes and it wouldn't switch its almost like the speedo was frozen. Somthings definitely not right so i went into the diagnostic mode and what came up straight away was err_4. I really sont
*Don't know what to do guys, any help would be appreciated, i ride everyday so it's a bitch! i need to use the bike. Ive also checked the clock connecters and ecu as what it says but still no luck.
It's just the fact that he flashed a is image on it with eu spec harnes setting. With the immobilizer plugged in gives this error when trying to get to diag mode. That is all.... so unloving the immobilizer solves this.
