Where does this part go?

I'm doing a little work on my 2010 R1 today. I just took one of the front main fairings off the bike (on your right as you're standing in front of the bike looking at its headlights) and this rubber gasket/washer fell out!

Google suggests it's a gasket for a fuel sender unit? I've looked through the 2009-2011 service manual and I can't even find the part mentioned.

Does it even belong to my bike? I'm wondering if someone at a service centre has dropped it in there by accident and just left it?! Well baffled!

Cheers mods for moving this topic into the right section. I hit 'Submit' and them realised my mistake. Doh!

I don't have a 2010 but my guess would the gasket for the ram air scoop where it contacts the front cowling.??? How big is it?

I wondered that too. Had a quick look and it doesn't look like it comes from the ram air intake. I couldn't see it in the service manual parts breakdown either. It's about 3 inches long by just over an inch wide.

Got in there seconds before my last post redgecko! lol. That's so odd, but good to know it's not missing from somewhere on my bike. Thanks for the info.
