Asked if he was afraid of dying in an accident, Marco Simoncelli responded: "No. You live more for five minutes going fast on a bike like that, than other people do in all of their life." rip #58 ciao ciao bello

Doing the math and and looking at time sheets, they are 3.5-4 seconds off the pace now, and at 1/3rd the cost of a proper GP bike for the season

which is facking incredible considering the riders, and the first time on track

We'll probably all be snoring until the WSBK races come on when that happens. Because a control ECU and CRT type bikes is NOT what prototype racing is supposed to be all about.

Agreed, and if the formula changes it will be weird but look at Moto2. Pretty good racing IMO and I think generally more charged then WSBK but thats just my opinion

Agreed, I wish there was enough call for another class, a moto1 1000cc spec class. Then gp on top. I think the CRT's will beat some satellite team entries.

Moto2 reminds me of AMA's Daytona Sportbike class....the racing has tightened up tremendously, and its very exciting....but it's still a feeder class for the big leagues. No DSB guys wants to remain in DSB, he wants to step up to Superbike, and that's exactly what any Moto2 rider wants.

MotoGP has been largely boring, whereas WSBK is much tighter, with a deeper grid, and other than a control tire, it's about the rider and it's about the bike as well.

I think its an odd feeder series as the 600cc spec lumps have such less torque and power compared to the 800cc let alone the new monster 1kcc bikes now

600 to 1000 isn't bad, but the gap from a 250 single to a 600 is a little big.

if MotoGP wasn't the Honda show it'd be different.
