newb from Las Vegas

just wanted to drop a line to say hello. I have to admit I joined the forum today in order to use the classified section. Then I read the rules. Oh well. Anyway, I'm a trackday junkie from Las Vegas. Dont currently ride street at all. Currently riding a really well developed 2003 RC51, previous to that a 2010 Aprilia RSV4R (dont ask). Looking to unload the RC and jump onto my first R1. I have always stayed away from inlines because I love the character, torque, and sound of v-twins. I'm finding out that my preference of engine is holding me back on the track and I cant afford to run a Ducati. I figure the crossplane R1 platform should satisfy my need for character while giving me the handling benefits of modern chassis geometry and the inline 4 engine. So to stay within the rules I wont post any links or try to pimp my RC here but I am legitimately looking to move to a new R1 so if you know anyone in the market or someone who could consider a cash/trade deal, please PM me. In the mean time, I'll be lurking around and reading all I can about the crossplane R1 and what makes them work best around a racetrack.

- Fresh Motul 300v changed every other track day
- Fresh Engine Ice and water pump seals. Only one track day on them

Several spares and OEM parts including F&R wheels, bodywork, exhaust header, kickstand, headlight, wiring harness, rearsets, fairing stay, throttle bodies, airbox, rear suspension link, clip-ons, rear brake rotor, rear shock, windscreens and more.

All suspension work was performed within the last 4 months by Cogent Dynamics of North Carolina. Dyno tuning was performed at Dynojet HQ here in Las Vegas. This is usually reserved for new test models and AMA race teams. These guys do first class work. I have all receipts documenting the build.

As stated above the bike could be run on the street fairly easily if the new new owner wishes. All the necessary parts are there. The OEM bodywork is clean but the new owner may choose to paint it. For an additional fee I can have it professionally painted to match the existing tank or however the buyer chooses. I can also assist with delivery to locations within a reasonable drive from Vegas. Hell yeah. I'd buy a modern Honda v-twin sportbike. That would be bad ass!

abosolutely. My RSV4 had the most amazing engine I've ever used. Just not an affordable bike for the average track day rider to campaign. You'd think Honda would capitalize on all the V4 experience they now have from MotoGP for something other than Shamu. God that bike is hideous and over bloated. I dont think I've ever even seen one on the road.

thanks. yeah, they are definitely becoming more rare. I put quite a bit of TLC into this one. Just coming to grips with the fact that I can only take it so far on the track. There just isn't enough support for them anymore.

wow! that may be the highest mileage RC I've ever heard of. Well done. In all honesty, I'd love to keep this one and continue customizing it as a secondary/street bike. Just had my first son in January though and having 2 bikes just is not in the cards right now.

thanks theres guy on the rc boards with 100k+. that thing is effin bulletproof. im tellin ya right now man the rc is a different beast. its heavy, not as fast but nothin puts a smile on you face like that v twin torque its the only bike i have ever kept more than 6 months. and the new bikes are not built as good as the old HRC stuff

All those little things together totally transformed the bike. I rode one track day on it last fall before I started ripping it apart. Its not even the same bike anymore. Light years ahead of where it was when I got it. Yours looks great BTW
