I try to hover the puck to save it. Once the puck touches I lift slightly to hover above the ground.

The guy I ride with plants his knee and burns through sliders.

He has a solid argument though, his knee on the ground saved him from low-siding. So to me if people wanna drag around until they burn leather that's fine with me, just don't fall down in front of me lol

I drag less knee now than I did 2-3 years ago. But not because my body position changed (it really hasn't) but because I became a lot better on corner entry (braking) and exit (getting on the gas) to improve my speed when before I was using a lot more lean angle for more of the turn to compensate, which meant my knee was on the ground for more of the time.

Dragging knee doesn't mean you're fast but being fast will make you drag knee. Took me a while to get fast enough to do it on a track and i never yet did it on the road.
