Upgrade ideas.

Alright guys. 05 R1. What to upgrade now? I have Vstax, air filter, full exhaust, pcv, flush mounts, taillight, frame and Swingarm sliders, and even new fairings. Getting steel braided brake lines, levers, and that's all off the top of my head. What next??? Thinking clutch pack.

Ohlins forks, shock, steering damper. Aftermarket rearsets, 1/4 turn fuel cap, carbon fiber parts, Dzus fasteners for your fairings. Zero Gravity windscreen. OK... that's a start.

Can't find Ohlins forks in 5VY but I did look at the rear shock, got the oem steering damper which is doody, CF Body work I've no interest in unless its like the side covers for the tank or even air ducts would be sweet, due to my new all white fairings is why I'm against them, 1/4 fuel cap is on my mind, aftermarket rearsets I want just dunno who with, I've got a smoked windscreen but not Zero Gravity. Also forgot I've got a 520 conversion coming in. Oh and I thought the dzus fasteners were already with oem bodywork?

You don't need a tool for the Dzus... they have a little handle on each one so you can turn them by hand and then fold flat once secured.

I'm enlightened. I'll have to look for some, I did another search, unfortunately the 04-06 fork tubes I believe were discontinued. However springs are available with the rear shock too. Dunno where to find individual CF parts though. Forgot to mention I'm getting lightweight brake rotors as well soon.

suspension properly sorted out for your weight.

new sticky tyres

Track, and rider training days.

You can spend thousands on 'bling', or spend the same on trackdays and training, and be a better, faster, smoother rider for it.

training.

I'd love to hit up a track to practice. However I'm in Ft. Campbell so I've got no clue where's a circuit. There's all drag strips when I look for a track.

For the gas cap I threw on the vortex keyless, bike came with Arashi reassess (I think there Chinese knock offs) im going to order the vortex rearsets here soon. Compared to my friends stock rearsets my knock offs are a far better improvement.

Tires, brakes and suspension, then trackdays. Everything else is for show and personal preference.

I've looked and I'm absolutely in love with Carbon Fiber air tubes. Also the nicer colored radiator hoses
