Last november I dropped my 2014 R1. I was leaving a friends house at approx 12am this previous november and it was only 35 degrees out, I wasn't even thinking of cold tires and went to take a left hand turn and my rear tire slid out from under me. Here's a few pics of the damages.

I rode all day today in 70 degree weather with these damages, all new parts have been ordered except new side plastic and new clip on bars.

Left side stator cover was ground almost all the way down
Left bar end was ground down
left side plastic ground down
bent left side clip on
left side swingarm took some rash
bent clutch lever

Yeah, I definitely got lucky. Had my gear on, but was only going about 20. Had her taken to a shop to make sure the alignment wasn't messed up, it felt funny, they found that my left clip on was bent from the impact. Debating which aftermarket clip ons I should get

You could sand the rash out of the swing arm and get it powder coated.

It will look like new. Damage looks pretty minimal other than that big item. Look on eBay. Should've able to get back up to par fairly easy.
