I'd have to look around but they always have different stuff. Mostly it looks like on military use ones though.

Shot a friends 1911 and I gotta admit they are damn nice. I was more accurate with it then my hk45 I just got. Based on reading it appears the 1911 is just a very easy to shoot gun. I need more time with the hk right now, but I think for Erin's next toy it might be a 1911. I think she would love how easy they are to shoot accurately.

Yep. ID mags, which may have problems, different characteristics, age, etc. to rotate/service/maintain, etc.

I do the same with my arrows. I put numbers on them due to slightly different flight patterns, etc. Competition shooters become a bit anal about their equipment.

Wait you can still buy guns in Illinois? Has the $25 extra tax been implemented yet?

I thought Downer's Grove was still pretty safe from most Chicago problems? At least, that's how it was when I was there a few years ago for some training. Used to walk down to Hooter's, drink, hit on the waitresses and bar tender then stumble back to the hotel room.

Palmetto State Armory has free shipping over $50 right now. Good ammo prices but they sell out quick when the free shipping is going on.

I thought so too, but this guy in the article was in our neighbors apartment before this shit happened:

I am right on the boarder of Downers, guess I need to move.

Not to lessen the crime. But, there's a lot of unknown there. Did he kill them outside, in the residence, etc? Was the doors locked? Was there anything that could have been done to prevent it, such as keeping doors locked, better visibility, etc?

I understand the concern, and worry of it happening again from/to someone else. But, many of these types of things can be prevented.

Very true, I didn't know the guy. But still good to have protection just in case.

Whew, still processing brass. Looks like I got 4k 45acp, 250 300 blackout, 5k 9mm, 1k 40sw, 25k 223/5.56. Gonna be a busy winter, and I need another bench so I can leave the presses set up all the time.

I've got about the same amounts for my pistol calibers (.357sig/.40) but that 5.56 round count is awfully impressive!

I told you that HK was no good now box it up and send it to me pm to follow with my location . What 1911 did your buddy have? I used to shoot my friends Colt 1911 a lot before he passed away and i use to love that 1911. The thing was a tak driver with one sweet ass trigger.
