Why? It's an added cost that isn't needed. A standard carbine length unit will work. You can mount a folding front sight to the gas block.

Got those magpuls coming from Stephen . Was looking to not have that style of front site but it is a great idea.

I was thinking if I do the carbine length then could I mount one of those offset jobs to the gas block.

Can't, the gas rail isn't in line with the upper rail.

But the magpuls will work with the free float set up and maybe some optics down the road correct.

If the top of the gas block isn't the same height as the upper's flat top wouldn't that cause a problem?

Haha . That's why I don't drink redbull , I don't want to get caught in an wind storm and take off.


So if I go with the 13" I'll have to get a low profile gas block considering the stock is a picatinny type.
