Brembo M4 Caliper and Y-pipe 3/4 Akrapovic Bung size for Autotune

Hello everyone, I searched and didnt see anything mention about what I intend to ask, so i post a new thread here.

1) Anyone own R1-15-16 installed brembo M4, please show me yours and give me suggestion? I bought M4 Caliper and intend to use it with OEM Rotor, but when i try to install it on my bike (60th anniversary) but the top of M4 caliper is snagged by the bolt (plz look at picture). They said i should cut the front fender and cnc new pad. Do i need spacer when I use OEM rotors?

2) I bought autotune and my bike uses 3/4 Akrapovic, my technician said autotune' sensor will not fit with the sensor on Y-pipe, he should make new hole. Is it true? my bike is at his shop now so i cant check.

I know about the Auto tune. I had a Graves 3/4 pipe and both the bugs were too small. I got a new mid pipe from Graves with a single larger bung for the larger diameter AutoTune sensor.

What kind of bugs were they, ants or something, LOL.

PS: Sorry but couldn't pass up the chance being I've made a typo or two on the site and totally got my balls busted.

About the Akra Y-pipe is the size of bun for autotune is 12 while size of autotune sensor is 18?

About brembo, i stuck front fender pad when trying to install M4 calipers like in the picture. Do you know how to solve it and what spacer when use M4 with OEM rotors?

yes you need a 18mm bung. woolich racing sells them in Stainless steel or Titanium. they also have an adapter so you can install the wideband sensor into the smaller 12mm bungs. might be the perfect solution for you so you don't have to have a bung welded into the pipe. they also have caps to plug the other bung holes if you need them. make sure the sensor is installed in a pipe that all the cylinders will flow through. you want it to be sniffing all 4 not just 2.

I have no idea about the caliper issue

O2 Bung

The Akrapovic link pipe should have 3 Bungs.. I had the Akra Link and end Can and its has 3 bungs. 2 in the front where it connects to the headers and one after the end of of the y pipe..

you need 5mm spacers for the m4 calipers to work. I have the same set up.

Getting the caliper on is the issue? After installing the 5mm spacers, press the pads in the caliper all the way open. Then tilt the caliper in a slight angle to get it over the brake disc evenly. It is a close fit but it will go on.

hit up @SBK Unlimited for the spacers

V1nc3nt I own the Akrapovic Evolution GP 3/4 and have FTECU autotune with auto-blipper. The autotune sensor fits in the last hole towards the rear you have to unplug the 2 oem sensors up front and plug them with 2 blanking nuts.

that`s because the R1M has a different fender that doesn`t attach in the back like the regular R1 fender does.

Guess you can always upgrade to an R1M style carbon fender to make it work.

Mine too... zip ties are only needed in an emergency fix after crashing to get you back on the track/road.

I never noticed that the R1M fender mounted differently than the R1. Here is a pic of mine, I took off the bracket that holds the brake line and I have the GP4-RX calipers, not M4.
