:dunno Hey guys I have a problem with my 2004 R1 that appeared the last 3 days and I am lost. I have recently installed on my baby a slipper clutch by STM, and since then the gears became stiffer. The problem though is that when I rev the bike and I up-shift quickly sometimes the gears seem to jam and the clutch lever is half empty when I pull it back to change gears again. Thus I have to stop the bike and try to find neutral to have the gears back in place! Any help pls is more than welcome...
it is always recommended to use factory designed and approved tools to install such works of art. i would not trust any other tool or method other than what the manufacturer himself has specifically designed and planned. :bow it is the best compliment that such worksmanship surely deserves :fact

So I installed this partially tonight.. It was very easy ( with an inpact ) and unfortunately I was mising a few more of the 53 ball bearings.. It looks like the space apart the spring stopper washer, to the spring stopper nut.. I installed it without for right now, and the clutch works, I just dont know if its right.. I think I am going to try a few of the bearings in town and try it like that..
Ok.. After staring at the instructions that Blur posted.. I found it.. Mine uses the bearings to space the stopper hub.. The one for the pic above uses 003 YAM 128 which is a washer.. same purpose, just rides on a bearing instead.. I guess I get to try and find some bearings tommorow !!
So I have to say.. This is the coolest thing I have ever ran.. I got the bearings needed locally to put it together as it was meant to be, and it works awesome.. I did a couple 3rd to 1st gear downs without even a hint of it moving.. I love this thing..
Thanks again to those who helped out.. I really appriciate it all..
