I have my dealer checking on the parts and also if it's possible. I've tried searching but haven't found an answer yet.
I'm wondering if it's possible to purchase all required parts for the full ERS system to add to my standard R1 or would it be a waste of money?
Performance advantage by going with something else?
THIS
What are you going to be using the bike for??
If it's for the track, just an observation I've made is that none of the race teams are using them....that I've seen anyways. Or club racers I know
I should have pricing info back today so we shall soon find out. My question is simply whether or not there is a performance advantage by having the ERS over just buying the FGRT forks and TTX rear shock.
Racing only.
The MRA #1 plate holder, Ryan Burke, uses his electronic suspension on his M. There are several other fast guys that are running it too. Just wondering if it's possible or performance differences between the two
Unless you've spoken to him and the other "fast guys" there's no way to know if they are actually using the electronic aspects of the suspension vs. turning it off and running a consistent manual setup. At this stage in the game I consider it to be a gimmick. Once you can use GPS and have it automatically adjust corner to corner (from your input settings...with reliable consistency) it just doesn't make sense on track.
