I don't want to tamper with any of the original parts on the M so I will be just using the donor parts to change. Any colours I use will be whats on the current R1/R1M range so the blue on the side stripes will be the blue that is on the standard 2015 R1 panels. The side image of the bike is white but this will be silver like what the M is now. The rims are a matt blue finish so they will just stay as they are. The hardest part will be making up the decal on the tank, I'll use the 2012 WGP 50th as a template and then I'll have to try and get someone who can make that in a blue which is close to the Yamaha blue.

Its going to look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I wanna wrap my bike in the livery fashion as well but not quite sure if I wanna use the oem panels or bite the bullet and fork out a spare set to wrap.

I made up some clear decal for the LH side of the swing arm to minimise chipping. Also do some prototype stuff on the nose, will do the side stripes on the nose in the matt finish as well.

In regard to non standard vs carbon, I am guessing but the difference in weight is so minimal its not worth worrying about. I would keep an eye out for a std set of fairings and paint them if you can. Keep the carbon wrapped up for another day.

I also am pretty confident that the front guard on the 2015 R1 is the same as the Big Bang 14B one. Part numbers on the std 2015 R1 have pretty much the same part number and the mould month/year box indicates its the same part. In my thinking the variation in the part number is to do with colour and any decals.
