Man, I would love the know the specs of those bolts used on the covers. I have GB case covers too but the bolts they came with are SS...looking to find aluminum ones but unsure of the length needed and thread size.

Hey, sorry for the delay... was cleaning my stuff today and found the GB bolts.

Here are the measurements:

- M6 x 1.0 thread x 5 cm (2 required)
- M6 x 1.0 thread x 4.5 cm (2 required
- M6 x 1.0 thread x 3.5 cm (6 required)

All measurements done using the Pro-Bolt tool.

The pix attached shows the original aluminum bolts (top row) and the GB bolts (bottom row).

Hahahah, good catch... I had a Lacomoto rear hugger (carbon twill) fly off at speed and it pulled the clamp which connects the rear brake line to the hugger... tore the clamp into pieces, hence the zip tie.

It's taken care of now. Will post updated pix after my brake set up changes on 30-31 Jan.

Thanks.

The rear caliper bracket is manufactured at a local CNC shop in Thailand. My bike was the prototype bike, that's why you can see that there is an additional unused hole where I presumed was the first intention for the speed sensor.

It's not perfect, the pads aren't on the disc 100%. They couldn't move the caliper in closer to the hub as the caliper body would have hit the wheel carrier (it's kinda hard to make it out in the pictures). Maybe with a different rear caliper (different body), it would be better.

wow.. that brake setup.

Guessing new rotors and wheels is your next move?

Yeah, rotors is next. Trying to decide between the Brembo HP and Brembo T-Drive. Significant price difference.

The wheels will probably have to wait for a bit longer. With the current exchange rate against the Euro, they are stupid expensive now. Was looking at the new OZ GASS wheels though, yum!!!

really? where are you looking at? the difference between supersport and tdrive is less than $100.00 where I get stuff.

Incredibly though.. funny how that GP master cylinder costs like double what those GP4RX calipers cost. (Getting GP4RX for mine too)

Awesome brake setup you have though. Loving that rear. Waiting on SBU to come out with their kit.

In Thailand, the difference between the T-Drive and the Supersports is about $300. I know, I know, I shouldn't be bitching about that when I've spent so much on everything else already. Next paycheck!

Yeah, the GP is sensational. On my previous ZX10R, I had a Brembo RCS and the GP just obliterates the RCS. It's got tons of feel, you can dial in a precise amount of braking. Somebody told me that combined with the billet P4 calipers, braking would be epic, but that's a bit out of my league. The only problem I'm facing it that the pressure switch isn't sensitive enough to slight input, which in fact is substantial deceleration. I'm having to gently tap on the rear brakes, hoping to avoid being rear-ended by some cagers.

SBU has been saying that they'd be coming out with the rear kit for a while. It'd be interesting to see the differences, I know that there's still room for improvements on my set up.

Small round of updates this time. Finally got the Brembo T-Drive discs, MRA light smoke screen, rear quick connect brake lines, Samco hoses, Rizoma oil cap, and carbon sticker for the triple tree (wished it was twill carbon and said R1M)

Also had a chance to hit the Chang Circuit the day after the WSBK race in Thailand.

Bike felt amazing after dialing in the suspension; so flickable and composed.

I need to work on my body positioning and generally being "looser" on the bike. I ran in the Beginner's group since it's been almost 9 months since my last track day so I was getting readjusted.

I was also apprehensive about running the stock carbon fairings on the track, so I held myself back a little. I've ordered a set of track fairings already, now they're getting painted; should be ready in about 2 weeks.

Track fairings

Ready to get on the track on Monday so put on some track fairings. I think the colors came out ok, maybe need to add some stickers over and under the tail section, as well as on the belly pan. The white has a nice gold sheen sparkle to it which is hard to capture with the camera.

Hope you guys like it.
