Help me build an FAQ

This be the official computer FAQ thread, you know, for questions that get asked over and over. Add anything here that you think might be helpful.

If you post a link, add a small description of where the link goes and what the software is used for ect. ect. For example:

HiJackThis

http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/

HijackThis examines certain key areas of the Registry and Hard Drive and lists their contents. These are areas which are used by both legitimate programmers and hijackers. It's up to you to decide what should be removed. This program will help remove stuff Ad Aware and Spybot can miss.

Please report any links that need to be updated or just no longer work.

Remember the rules -- we are looking for freeware/shareware type stuff, and links to helpful tech support sites. No cracks, warez, blah blah blah.

dont forget www.driverguide.com nice lil database of ol' drivers

I ride through canyons, to a destination that only exist in my mind, praying to god that I don't crash & if I do please take me to that place where the speeding twisties on freshly paved blacktop glisten under lamps of midnight runs

---Just because you own a bike,.. It doesn't make you a rider.......

---If you ride fast enough you'll eventually loose those demons on your back........

---In the end NOTHING MATTERS BUT THE RIDE!

---I'm forced to walk into the abyss only to walk out, in the future, a totally different person with a different life leaving behind everything that once mattered the most in my life.

Free Online Virus Scan: www.antivirus.com

File searching Engine: www.filemirrors.com

Security Database: www.astalavista.com

Another Good Parts Vendor: www.Tigerdirect.com

Flash Stuff: www.flashkit.com

Gibson Research (some good pointers about WindBl0wz exploits): www.grc.com

Very good site for hardware problems and info: www.amdforums.com

Also hardware reviews: www.tomshardware.com --or-- www.anandtech.com

When I got home, I anxiously opened the package, stepped back a few feet, and waited for the bar to back flip off of the table and jump into my mouth. The bar just sat there. I couldn't understand: the packaging said "X-TREME" but the Soynut bar seemed incapable of mountain biking.
