I got the type 1 ECU flashing interface from Flashtune today.
Here are the tuneable features for the 07-08 R1:
-Fuel table bias (ECU uses a MAP vs RPM and a TPS vs RPM table for fueling, the bias adjusts how much each table contributes to the final value used to control the injectors.)
-TPS vs RPM Fuel map (per cylinder)
-MAP vs RPM Fuel map (per cylinder)
-TPS vs RPM Ignition map (per gear)
-Engine braking
-YCCT APS vs RPM throttle maps (not directly edittable, can choose between two preset maps: stock and "race")
-Fan temps (stock or 205*F on, 195*F off)
-Immobilizer Operation (Normal or Bypassed)
-Yes, you can import .djm PCIII maps into the software, the software then scales the fuel maps for flashing the ECU just like the PCIII does.
Flashtune does claim to be actively expanding the software to allow for other adjustments as well.
I flashed my ECU with the "race" YCCT map and used the 6th gear ignition map for all gears. My bike does now idle around 1900 RPMs. After looking at the "race" YCCT map closer I believe it may be to blame. Aside from the high idle everything worked great. I went out for a quick ride and was able to power up 2nd gear sit-down wheelies, I tried hard before but it never happened. The bike does feel like it has a little extra pep.
Here are a couple of screenshots of the YCCT maps and the 1st and 6th gear ignition maps.
Guys, I downloaded the updated flash tune software. it looks way ifferent than what I'm used to. ALL the GUI stuff is gone, and it's basically a file tree. Is there something I'm missing, or do I have to learn all this over again? I can't even figure out how to download the map from the ECU, so I can tune that one, vs uploading an entire different map to the system..
They made it more powerful:fact...They made it more like other tuning software, including the YEC ECU software. So, use it, ask questions, learn, and enjoy more tuning ability.:fact
Hey can someone flash my R1. I live in so-cal (Chino, ca) and ill gladly drive out to them. I would like to get Flashed and set my 6th gear engine braking to 0.
I went over to the link to download 5.3.15, after clicking on the link,
i download, then i clicked it to open it and i get error message:
unable to open either because it is not supported file or because it has been damaged.
can any shed light on this.

Hey Tad I have a question I have a 2010 full titanium Graves. I'm using the 5.3.15.5 with no O2. I disabled the O2, what about the "Disable_INJ-decel_cut" and "Disable AIS Valve" Should I disable them?
Disable AIS for sure unless you like the flames and pop/backfire on deceleration Try Disable INJ decel cut but if your bike throws a check engine light then turn back off.
I put my AIS pump on a little toggle switch. If I get someone tailgating too close I drop it down a few gears and click the switch for 5ft flames out the back
Hi guys, as usual you were right again,
there were two things going on
i put a volt ohm meter on the pressure switch and it was jammed closed it is norm open
but is was closed cirucit. after adj when i shift it the ohm meter would sound. so that is fixed, then i started it on the front and rear stand thinking it was level but guess what same 69 error. had to pull the maintenance manual and cleared the codes. ok
this time i took off the front stand, then the rear, well i was really worried when i started it. i started so far no engine light let it run ok i pull the clutch in shifted to first, then to neutral then to second with the clutch pulled in because i am in my garage.
i am just surprised that even on two stands i would get that error code. unreal
Tad, I just took a nice long ride after flashing to 5.3.15.5 and I have to tell you how much I appreciate all the time and effort you and the others have put into these maps. This is the smoothest, most enjoyable riding bike I have ever ridden thanks to this latest flash (I previously had one of the earlier PeenV2 flashes, which I liked).
The throttle mapping is absolutely spot on and I was loving being able to roll on power wheelies in first gear but still have very fine control getting back on the throttle coming out of corners.
The lack of engine braking took a little time to get used to, but wound up really helping keep the bike settled while cornering, and I really grew to like it. Also, the idle is rock solid now, and I didn't have any issues with the bike dying after blipping the throttle.
Again, thanks so much for all the time you've put in!
:lol at the fact that now there is not enough engine braking...When we first started all of this...we couldn't remove enough....I guess I finally found too little...:crash I will seriously consider it though, I find that 2nd gear pulls me along too fast with no throttle input, which can be a tick annoying...
Once I get the O2 installed, I think/hope it will get a bit better...
I don't think they even monitor it.
They are useless at responding to emails!
