No problem. Oh yeah and be sure to get some V-Stacks, and get 3 heavy duty springs sold at tobefast.com .You only need 3 though and stager them with the stock ones. If he wants a little better clutch then try the track pack. If he just runs it on the track then take the airfilter out but if he still ride it on the street he should keep it in. Try -2 +3 or -1+3

Yea, we slowly gonna keep changing things for him. He's still fairly new to drag racing bikes so we dont wanna change a ton right off the bat. Its still a ridden street bike with 15k miles or so. Once we get it fully tuned and the ecu we will be starting to throw gear at it.

Yea I still ride on the street too. Those 60's are going to frustrate him until he get that gearing though . He also should look into getting his cams degree'd.

I agree with ya. He's already pretty frustrated. But he's also not ridding it to its full ability. With it getting cold here now we gonna look at changing a lot more stuff. He was just hoping he'd go 9.99999 before we put it away lol.

To be honest the bike should be into the 9's stock. Like you said he is not riding it . As you know it takes seat time to get those numbers down. That ecu is killing him alot though.

So pumped, finally got into the mid 9's with a 9.5! Backed it up with two other 9.5's and a few 9.6's

Mods:

Bike 05 R1 with 35,xxx miles
BMC Race Filter
Power Commander PC 3 with custom tune from old bike with same mods
Full Akrapovic Exhaust
Graves Velocity Stacks
Quick Shifter
Lowered 1.75" in the rear
Strapped
'06 Swingarm with extensions
520 kit with -2/+5 gearing


I'm #1

Think it has some 9.4's in it if I can get that launch down to the low 1.5's and maybe even try for some 1.4 60'

What you guys think?

I was hoping to see you out there since the cancelled bike day they let us bikers run at the end of the day in a little bike class, me and my buddy both lost in the first round but we were racing from 9 to about 6 on Sat.

Yep, no juice. Ran my other r1 since the 06 is still down as the motor I got still needs the valves adjusted. Just swapped the swing arm over and didn't want to spray this motor haha

I didn't know the bike day got cancelled, that sucks. I was unable to attend due to the fact my other sprocket didn't show up and I didn't want to burn thru another clutch. I might be out there this Saturday for there "fun day". I just hate running on fun days tho, the last time I ran on a fun day I only ran 4 times because the muscle cars kept breaking

First 2 passes of the year. '12 R1, Full Graves ex. - upper & lower stacks - 16/43 gearing - stock wheelbase & height - strapped front. Still needs a dyno tune, and some lower gearing.

Has anyone run back to back passes with the stock ecu vs flashed ecu ?

What gain/loss did you see 1/4, 1/8 mile?

Hey guys, I street ride my bike a lot and hit up the strip 1-3x a month. I have a question, is -1+2 to much gear for a stock wheelbase bike at the track with only a strapped front to keep wheelies down? I'm debating on stretching it a little bit, but not much as I enjoy street riding to much.

-1+2 does not sound bad for your set up. Take your stock rear sprocket with you to the track and make some passes on both and see which one works the best.

Also when I had bolt on extensions on my 06 I could lean it over all the way until the foot pegs would touch the pavment. Just make sure you do not get on the gas to soon and and to hard or it will make a very interesting ride I promise you! Been there done that coming onto the interstate and rolled on the gas to much and drifted across 3 lanes of traffic before I got it back under me. It scared my friends behind me more that I was. It happened to fast and was over before I knew it.
