It's uses almost no nitrous to shift, and keeps the setup simple.
ill keep that in mind, whats the low pressure adapter for? im assuming to regulate the PSi?

Nitrous is 900-1000psi, the air shifter solenoid needs to be 150 or lower. The regulator steps it down to ~150psi.

I use a 2 outlet "gauge manifold" off the nitrous bottle. One outlet is a 4an feed to my nitrous solenoid. The other is a 3an feed to the low pressure regulator for the shifter.

Juissed ftw, thanks for the info and pictures!

Using nitrous seems like a good idea as I already have a 2.5 bottle on my bike too.

Are you using the horn for the air shifter or for the spray? Thinking back I think you were using the hub to spray once certain conditions are met but curious on how you have the controlls set up. I'm currently using my horn to spray but was thinking get a button mounted below the horn to use the air shifter to get into 2nd then just use the horn to spray in 2nd and just use my foot/quick shifter to shift into 3rd and 4th. Think that would work ok?

pc3 hub + horn + nos mini

75% -> 100% ramp over 0.6 seconds when horn + 100% throttle

Airshifter is on starter button. Each have a toggle to flip from regular function to spray/shift.

I'll see if I can dig up my wiring schematic.

You are good. Saving that picture, I have the other schematic you posted for just the nitrous setup saved already

How do you like the air shifter on the starter button? Is it hard to hit the button while wot?

Seems like a cheap way to get an air shifter. Anybody heard about this setup before or think it would work for our bikes?

nice, been looking for the grainger PNs for the shift cylinder for a while.

it's all the same parts.. kill fuel however you want (PC3 is easiest-- using the pins from the quickshifter style plug & adjustable shift kill delay)

Might bite the bullet and order that stuff then, I have a Grainger like 15mins away from me.

I have a quickshifter set up through the pc3 so I was hoping that would still work ok once I added an air shifter.

Anyone try the Pingel solenoid electric shifter ? I have heard of the n2o freezing the shift cyl. and causing it to not shift, anyone have these troubles ?

pingel one blows. needs constant adjustment.

I run my shifter off of nitrous (with a siphon tube) and a blue regulator thing from dynotune. It's made for co2 i believe.. I run it HARD on the street with the shifter as well-- it's NEVER frozen on me. Ever.

@C3L1CA- Just tap into the two wires for your existing quickshifter in parallel. It will work fine-- I run both as well.

never used it / know nothing about it.

my nitrous supplied one is prettty rock solid. I just use a "gauge manifold" and have a -4 feeding my solenoid and then a -3 feeding my shifter stuff.

You can see the setup in this pic:

One important thing-- My regulator is bottom fed with the outlet being higher than the inlet. This stops liquid nitrous from ruining solenoids. I did destroy a solenoid (will start leaking) by having it the other way...

I'm a little confused what you mean.

The QS is on the shift rod and I was thinking I'd copy a setup like yours where air shifter would be on the starter botton. That way when I push the starter button the air cylinder push on the shift rod which would trigger the qs solenoid and the qs would kill fuel like it does now.

Would I have to wire up the qs differently with an air shifter?

Thanks for all the help. If you ever make your way up to MN I owe you a few beers!

I run a toe based QS-- it has buttons on the shifter - toe - thing. It has two wires that run from that to the PC3. Your shift rod based one is the same-- two wires that run to the PC3. Just tap into those using a relay. I have some schematics that i've posted before that show how to trigger a closed circuit when the shifter solenoid is hit.

basically its relay output -> shifter solenoid (it then y's to the 85 of another relay, that has 30 & 87 being your newly tapped "quick shifter leads")

that make sense?

nice setup? homemade frame sliders?

so your using your nitrous bottle to run your air shifter with a regulator to the shifter rod? sick

I guess I'm still a little confused. Sorry for not getting electrical stuff was never my strongest point.

I have the dynojet quick shifter which was just a plug and play type of thing. So I was thinking as soon as the air shifter moved it would trigger the qs sensor just like if I was foot shifting to kill fuel and let the bike shift. That way when I was just dicking around on the street and wanted to foot shift I could still foot shift while using the qs.

I also don't have any nitrous controller and is all on the horn button. I kind of like this simple setup and was wanting to do something simple like that on the starter button for the qs. Just hit the button which trips the air shifter solenoid to pull the air cylnder to shift the bike which will trigger the quick shifter which will cut fuel through the power commander already.

Maybe I'm trying to simplify things too much
