unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your position) with my house-full of kiddos and work/class schedule I had to decide between watching the race or riding the track... I was obligated to chose the latter; I want to see what this ole '15 feels like when cut loose!
man hotels are booking fast that weekend too! anybody got any hot spots or hangouts lmk. I did book but I can always change it up.
Starting to get prepped.... Mirrors off (need block offs yet), pass. pegs off, finally had time to convert to GP shift (so easy TY YAMAHA!), and a new lid to top it off no pun intended. still on the list.. decide on what rubber to use and maybe get one of those fancy panoramic vr type cameras...
tempting...never ridden on slicks...and I would need warmers too hmm shoot me a pm with details. I was thinking a fresh set of q3's or stones but who knows.
I'm signed up. A bunch of us from the cold & white north are invading in an attempt to shorten the winter. Time to put on that 16t front sprocket. COTA is fast like Miller, Road America and NOLA!
good thought on the sprocket! I'm gonna consider this as well! wonder who the suspension person will be? id like to get a track side opinion/adjustment
Well, all we can do is hope the weather is good for us then! It'll probably be my first time back on a road race bike since end of last season- what a cool way to start this year's season.
Sold what I had in mind.
Have take offs left in
soft frt
super soft rear
maybe a soft rear.
I'd have to go look.
Pirelli super corsa race tyres.
Figured it'd be to cold for them. The rears mainly, they tear
Rubbers back
Guy that was buying them decided to sell everything he was going to race and build a 250 and race that.
God I wish I could go to this. To many other irons right now. I might not race as much as I want.
Didn't you used to be a Honda guy? I remember the screen name from 1000rr.net. I'll be watching for ya. I'll have ole blue and my custom z125 pro as well.
Right! I got here from Iowa this morning...well San Antonio to go to sea world w the kids first....bit anxiously waiting!....praying the forecast changes
Sat was rain all day long. Lots and lots of water. I tossed the bike down the back straight at 150 mph in the first session. We both slid 500 feet, luckily the bike did not flip once in the gravel trap. Got her back together for the afternoon rain sessions. Busted the quickshifter though.
Sun was dry but cold, 48-49 degrees most of the day, a touch above 50 mid-afternoon, then colder again.
