I have a job opportunity opening up in February, in Austin Texas. What are the twisties like over there and how long does it take to get to them from the University of Texas area?
How does it compare to the Santa Monica mountains over here where the Rockstore is at?
How close is the nearest road coarse for CMRA type racing or track days?
Does anyone have photographic evidence of Austin :boobies ?
Thanks!
Austin is a great place to live - and to ride. If you visit before you move - bring your bike. The hill country provides great views - and even better twisties. Be sure you hit 2222 and City Park Rd for the curves - and Loop 360 offers the opportunity to see if your shift light is working. ;)

I'd love to plan a trip to Austin. I'm in Houston. I've ridden Bandera before, pretty cool. Austin has great roads. If some one would like to head up a meet, Im in.

Well I live in Logan, Utah and I will be moving to Texas towards the end of the year and i don't know where, I think Houston. I'm 16 and I'm buying an R1 and i don't know if i should buy one before or after I move and I was wondering what it was like there, and the only reason i'm moving is my mother is making me move there, because she is getting married, and they want to live there. So If and when i move i need someone to show me places to ride, I rode in Utah all my life and it's really good, and i hope Texas is at least the same or better.
