Stitching; All of our tailors have C.E. certification is leather sewing. The suits are all triple stitched using Kevlar threading in the flex areas.
Price with these custom suits is very reasonable for what you get. Our suits are pretty involved and they handled everything we asked them to do. Very well....

R1Fanatic 09-28-2004, 08:59 PM That orange and blue KTM suit is HOT!!! I'm selling my Spidi 2pc in the next week or 2, and I'll definitely give Reflex a go! :yesnod In your opinion, how do they compare to Syed Customs? One thing I like most about Syed is their soft, yet sturdy/durable leather.
Thanks for the pics! :rock
SpidermanSS 09-28-2004, 09:01 PM We have a few team jackets for our staff at the shop also...

SpidermanSS 09-29-2004, 11:52 AM Rene':
I just pulled my syed jacket and the Reflex Gear jackets together to compare.. My syed is from 2002 and on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the softest) it's a 8... The Reflex Gear suit new is a 7 and the quality of the leather from each appears similar.. You wouldn't want it too soft right away cause they'll break in a bit.. I'm sure you be happy with Reflex.. :fact
WOnder140 is having a pink and yellow suit made up right now lmao lmao...

Skanky 10-19-2004, 09:01 AM Oh man, am I jealous. Those suits are awesome. Hey Shane, how bout you give me a free suit for the windscreen that arrived incorrect, ok? I did return the 04 screen, so that should be about fair, right?
SpidermanSS 10-19-2004, 01:33 PM Yeah that's cool skanky... lmao
drinktoo 03-29-2005, 08:33 PM :hellobye You guys convinced me to get a set of the reflex leathers. I got the Deere, but didn't opt for logos or names. I'll give a review when I get(SP? for crash in) them. I got the one piece with perf and I'll be sizing in the next 2 days with a tailor to make the sizes perfect. They look :boobies and if they are that good I'll sport the reflex name to all my track events with pride. I can't wait. Hey Shane how long did it take from initial buy to your actually putting on the leathers? I'm convinced you were pleased since you now sell them, but whats you're overall opinion for what you paid? Is it too good to be true or are you just satisfied to get what you got(sp for the DVX steal?) BTW I wonder if there are any specials that someone could get from r1-forum or are the prices pretty much set as is. I'm not asking for me because I've already got a set coming, but maybe it could get tobefast.com some extra orders if they run a deal for just the forum members.
K_FleXXX 04-15-2005, 11:02 PM Just got my new Custom Fitted/Sized ‘Dainese Relica’ Two-piece suit. I was impressed with the suit when I took it out of the box.
Here's some of the features my suit included the following options at no additional charge:
• Stretch Kevlar Panels (Groin Y Shaped)
• Stretch Leather Panels (Above knees & Lower back)
• Protection armour (Shoulders, Elbow, Forearms, Back & Knees)
• Protection dense foam padding at hips
• Perforation (Chest, Back, Sleeves & legs)
• Pockets on jacket
• Adjustable neck closing.
• Interchangeable sliders on the knee.
• (jacket+pants) does have full inside lining for comfort
• Replaceable C.E. approved knee pucks.
Additional charge:
• Yamaha logo on back
• My Name on collar
Requested features not included:
• Stretch Kevlar Panels (Sleeves, Knees & Calves)
Now the suit was VERY close to the Dainese photo that I sent them. The Logos and lettering was done very nicely. I ordered my suit on 01/25/05 and it was delivered on 04/09/05. I was told upfront that it would take a bit more than the average 6 weeks to get the suit. FedEx came and I immediately took it out the box and let it warm to room temp before jumping in them and checking the fit.
The jacket fits dead on (maybe a bit snug across the back) and is really comfortable. The pant fit is a bit off. The pants fit very baggy and about two inches or so too long in the thighs which makes me look like the “Michelin Man”. Funny the main reason I went the custom route was that I could not get leather pants off the rack that fit. Since these are my first custom set they are the best fit thus far, they will have to due until I can get them taken in and shorten a bit in the thigh area to solve the fit issue. I may even add pockets as there is more than enough room. Now to be fair, Reflex did contact me concerning my ‘Crotch To Knee’ measurement as they felt they my original measurements were too long for my height.
I jumped on the R1 and took a morning ride (about 50 degrees), the perforation works well, but could tell that it may not be enough when the temps get up in the 80-90 degree temps. Since these are my first leather pants I found that they cause me to slide forward on the seat a lot more than when in jeans. All in All I can ride with them just fine.
Things I would change in the suit would be the following:
• A better fit for the pants.
• Stretch Kevlar Panels (under arms & behind knees)
• Zipout liner for colder weather
• Pockets on the pants.
• Maybe more perforation on legs and back of jacket.
Overall Very good quality . Stitching looks very strong and comparable to my other leathers. Fairly comfortable for new leathers.
Well, to say the least, I sent them an email and they had me ship the suit back to them for adjustments. Wow, these guy are on point with the customer service. I sent them back the suit and resubmitted my pant measurements (which was a bit different). Now I’m awaiting the adjustments and the addition of Stretch Kevlar Panels behind knees.

I'm not asking for me because I've already got a set coming, but maybe it could get tobefast.com some extra orders if they run a deal for just the forum members. :argue I ordered 2 suits. 1 for a 5' 8" 230 lb and one for a 6'? 180 lb. the 5'8" suit came a few weeks late and :rant I can deal with that, but the fit was horrible :rant only till the other suit came in and it fit almost perfect. I was told that I was odd sized for 5'8" and 230, but I fit almost(maybe 1" to 2" length) of the other suit made for a guy that is 6'+ and 180 lb? Now the perf and the stiching are as good as I could expect, and the customer service has been spot on, but how the hell I fit into the other leathers almost perfectly..... I don't know.... As far as asking for extras I wouldn't expect a ton. They did do the John Deere logo, but the inside pocket we asked (and paid for didn't happen) don't get your hopes up too high. I will say you will get a suit that will fit and you will get quality,(because of Zafer) but you cannot get the exact suit you want unless you are one lucky sumbich. I may edit some of this, after the entire order is finalized, but as of now the 6'? measurements have not been measured against a comparable suit to get that custom fit that is needed. I will post picks when I can.:bandit
K_FleXXX 07-17-2005, 02:05 AM Man sorry to hear about the suits. :(
Seems there has been some fitting issues lately
http://r1-forum.com/forums/showthre...mp;pagenumber=4
Since you have two suits, at least you can get one corrected one while you use the other... ;)
