Hi all, am newly registered, have been lurking for awhile. About me: I have been riding for 16 years, started out small (90cc's!), went to dirtbikes, went through lame cruiser period (Suzuki GS450L) Got my BMW R75 and have been racking up the miles ever since. Traded in my old BMW putt-putt for an '02 R1 and want to learn to race it, or at least ride like I'm racin' it! I have learned a lot from following the discussions on this forum, and am all hyped up to get this frickin' break in period over with so I can scare myself. Can I get some advice?

try this site, www.nesba.com they operate at many different tracks that should be accessible to you from northern VA, and they offer a $10 try out day with a limited amount of class and 2 20 minute periods on the track, with minimal prep for your street bike. Good luck:thumbup
