OMG! I just took a short ride in my new helmet and I have to say! What a differance! I had crappy HJC Fusion II before and that thing totally sucked. It was loud, heavy, and worn out after not even a year of usage.
Now Arai, thats a helmet! Very quiet, I can move my head around easier, the ventilation is just fantastic! The visor stays up when you leave it there, and it has a nice tiny lock on the bottom so when you close it, the visor gets hooked up to the helmet when its closed and this way it won't come up....

I have the Rx7rrV Haga replica Arai. It is indeed an awesome helmet.
My former AGV Q-Vent (Predecessor to the X-Vent) pales in comparison.
The Arai is super light, extremely comfortable, brilliantly stable at
high speed and has all the bells and whistles you'd expect for that price. :thumbup
Now here's where I feel the Arai let me down a tad.....
1.) It's as noisy as a tornado in there. But that's not a big problem since I wear
ear plugs anyway.
2.) The paint work. While the graphics and styling is da total bomb in my opinion,
the actual quality of the paint seems inferior. It chips so easily. I had my AGV for
3 years and I think I've got one scratch on it. And that was from an actuall crash.
No chips on the front anywhere. Yet with my Arai, after having it for only a few
months, it has developed so many chips that I've stuck race tape on it now :(. The area I ride
in has not changed, the weather aint different. So I can only put it down to the
paint being very very thin.
That's my .02 worth on the Arai.
Later.

DjfLoYd - what you said about the RX7 being noisy makes sense.
Arai even says that the RX is noisier because it is the best RACING helmet they make.
Arai says that the RX that we wear is the exact same thing that Haga-san wears.
They say that each helmet is hand-made anyway, and they thing that their racers head is just as important as our heads. now, this could be :bs but i've never heard anything to the contrary.
I have been looking at the Haga Quantum for some time, but I might end up getting the RX Haga because a lot of places are having good deals on them right now.

The Arai is an excellent helmet. I've had mine for the past 4 years:thumbup
Light weight and very comfortable. And yes it is a little noisy, then again I always wear ear plugs. Don't you?

The Quantum /f is quieter than the RX7RRs, cheaper, and more comfortable in my opinon. I have the Okata replica and paid atotal of $383 for mine.

yeah agree Quantum F is quieter than RX7XX, I rode in my buddies RX and it was lot more windy. Maybe because it has more vents??

yeah, RX is more race track oriented (more venting) and quantum is more street oriented.
