I'm looking to step up my protective gear but I don't think a lot of full leather suits would fit me. I'm 6'3"-6"4". I usually try to buy tall sizes but I don't see tall sizes in leather suits. I was just wondering what you guys would suggest. Also is there any other tall guys out there, what did you to for suits.
One thing I've run across is Dianase and apparently they take measurements to custom fit the suit but wow that sounds price prohibative.
Also I've read that the one pice suit is short in the legs and arms, true??? If true I guess I would need a two pice suit, what would I be sacraficing/gaining with the two pice?

Con,
Check out some of the First Gear or Hein Gerricke stuff. I'm almost certain they come in tall sizes. I used to have a First Gear jacket many moons ago in a tall size since my arms are of albatross proportions! Be sure to let us (me) know what you find, as I might be in the market for new gear later on this year as well. I'm not as tall as you are, but my legs and arms are on the longer side.
Thanks in advance for letting me knowwhat you find out.

Hey CCN - I'm in the same boat! I'm 6'3 210 with a 48" Chest & 36" Waist. None of the shops around here have anything to try on above a 42/44 so it's not even close. I can't even get a starting point as a reference.
I emailed newenough.com who has excellent service. they distribute Joe Rocket & Alpinestars. Paul over there seemed to feel I wouldn't be able to fit into either companies suits...
I love the Dainese & Spidi suits but they''re expensive. I recently exchanged emails with Dainese - they want my measurements and then they'll let me know if anything can be done. I don't think they custom make stuff though...
Kushatani is another. I actually met with the West Coast rep last month when he was out here. They may fit AND they will custom make a suit right down to color etc. They have an area on their web sote where you pick design, color, measurements etc. Very top notch suits but even more $$$ than Dainese.
We need to put our heads together on this. It's been covered several times in the forum but never really had a conclusion. Just compromises. I need to find a good 1 piece and I'm running out of time. I want to start running CCS soon and I don't particularly trust my Joe Rocket 2 piece PLUS the pants aren't comfortable and restrict movement...
If I can't get anywhere, I'll go with Kushatani.
There are several other places like Reflex - a forum sponsor and Barnacle Bills hwo will custom make a suit very reasonably but I'm super picky and don't like the designs or materials. I know - silly - but I'm entitled. It's my :dollar :finger

what about the reflex custom suits sold through shane's shop?
$790.00 for a custom suit does not sound very prohibitve.

I just read the last part of your post. My biggest fear in a two piece is the zipper seperating in a high speed low side... Several people I know and some forum members have had their Joe Rocket gear disintigrate underneath them (see kneedraggers recent thread).
JR is a good company with good basic gear and from kneedraggers experience they stand by their product. I just don't know if I trust it in Two Piece form on the track going balz out - I would like an alternative if possible...
The Reflex suits may be the trick I read a post of Shane's on their new custom suits. I thought they looked pretty good and Shane had nothing but good stuff to say about the quality. I'll see if they will make the tall suits.
As for Hein Geirke, I wasnt' sure if they make full suits. I have a Hein Geirke Mesh/Tex Jacket that's pretty nice. I haven't tested it in a fall but I've heard good stuff about the company. I'll look into them though.
