Hey guys. :hellobye Just wanted to get something together to help everyone keep in touch a little while it’s cold. Too chilly to get the bikes out on the road so let’s go feed our adrenalin desirers with some snow boarding. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO, nothing like going face first into the icy white death at 40 mph. It’ll be at Paoli Peaks. They should start making snow sometime after December 1st. i let everyone know when. It’ll be from 11pm till 6am I think. Ski pass and board and boot rentals should come up to a total of around 45 bucks. Let me know if you’re in.

Hey sweet thing... i'll plan on going! Of course, i'll have to wait until it gets closer to see about work, other plans, etc... but it definately sounds like a good time!! I got beat up on two wheels in the woods today... Now, i've never even been on skis in the snow, so i will probably get hurt.... but thats ok... im really a pretty tough chic!! LOL I water ski, so maybe that will help just a little... maybe not, but oh well, its cool..... always up to learn new things! Nobody else is interested in going???? Is everyone in here.... sissies?? LOL, JP... i do hope that more people go though.... it will be fun, and everyone needs some good ways to keep in touch over the winter, right?? (Besides partying, drinking, etc... because i can't legally do all that:( ) Anyways.... hope to see at least some of you boys there! The ones that aren't SCARED:scared that is!!

Sweet thing??? I’m a sweet thing??? cool.:jump And here I thought I was being ignored by everybody. I never could water ski, and I was the fat kid that just sat on the skateboard and rolled down the hill and still fell off. You can bet your sweet ass that once I can get some speed up I’ll be pulling the bike helmet out and trying some stupid shit. It’ll be fun. Hell, I may just bring the leathers and try dragging a knee. My guess is the most I’ll accomplish is to drag my as though. Worse comes to worse I’ll just huddle around the fire place with a bottle and just get hammered.:beer If we can get enough people together we may be able to get some group rates on rooms too. Hook me up with some dirt bike riding too. Done it around a yard one time. That’s it. See y’all later

Love on the board...., lol Anyway, I've been skiing once, and I sucked, and some kid on a board cut me off when I finally went down a "blue square" run, I jumped the bank, and put a deep bruise that lasted 3 weeks in my groin - I landed on a sprinkler head - close fawkin' call - lol I'm game though..., details when it gets closer are needed, and I'll prolly spend more time at the bar than falling, but it's all good. and I'll have to keep away from u 2 - he he he...

Although I am a professional at that.:bash Bad news man. No bar. It’ll be a bring your own bottle kinda night.:beer A few drinks though and you’ll be ready to take that sprinkler head on again. Just point it out before I get there. I have some hardware down there.:thumbup Bad enough to hit it but I would hate to hook and rip. They are planning on starting to make snow at the first of December. Should be around mid-December before they are ready to let us hurt ourselves. Once I get the word though I’ll post it and PM everyone. :hellobye

I've scared myself more than once! I'm definately game for the gap.... that is if i 1) get a new bike and have enough time to get used to it before then or 2) get the gs fixed back to top notch! Definately thinking it will be opt. 1, but i'm going to have to see how the $ goes. So, I can't make any definate plans right now, but would LOVE to go!! I have a couple of friends that went like 5 times this year! I was supposed to go with my dad back in july..... but, we wont go there.:( He knows a pretty cheap place right outside of the gap to stay, I'll talk to him and find out some details if u want me 2.

12-02-2004, 11:47 PM
Hey, SG what do you think your price range will be for a new bike? I can keep a look out for rides and let you know as they come up. That or, have you thought of doing a rebuild? Take a wrecked bike, something maybe that has just been lowsided or similar and repainting with new plastics and such. You can usually save a couple hundred/thousand dollars this way. I've done it before with friends, and if' you'd need help, you always have us to give it to ya.

Sabian makes a great point...I got my wife a 2000 Suzuki SV650S back in 2002 for $1800. It needed a crankcase cover, handlebar ends, a few plastics, and a new front rim (yes, we checked out the forks and they were perfect). Total cost of new parts and a metallic purple paint job from a professional paint shop (not Earl Schieb or anything like it)=~$600. So what was $6000 new ended up costing us $2400. Best thing was it had 18 original miles on it, thats it. We put sliders all around and lowered it with longer dog bones (she is 5'4"), and she loved it. Pretty fun bike. Anyway, those are my 2 cents. The gap sounds great, but I cant commit without knowing my exam schedule for summer classes, which wont come out until later in the Spring. I definitely want to go though, and wish I could commit now.

Well I’ll let you know as soon as I find out about the snow trip and you guys let me know as soon as you find out about the gap. The sooner the better. As of now I’ll be rooming with a guy. It’ll be about 150 a night but if we can get about 6 or so more people it’ll only be 20 bucks a night. Super cheap trip to the gap. Can’t beat that. Plus his cabin will be right in the middle of the action. That’s were they’ll be grilling out and where the kegs will be set up. it’ll definitely be a good time. And Ryan, what I used to do when I was in school and needed to go out of town for any reason. Tell them that you are headed to Tennessee for a few interviews. Of course I didn’t have the rigors of law school. But either way, you’re preparing for your future. They can’t knock you for that. Nichol, I may be getting a track bike in the next few months. It may not be real pretty but you may be able to ride it if you don’t have anything else. But I would require that you be DAMN careful.

I did the Gap nine times last year and have access to some cheap places to stay - be happt to set up a copuple of trips for the Indy clan if you all wanna go. Suzuki Girl - A buddy of mine has a shop in Greenwood that buys crashed and repo bikes and then repairs themn for resale. Much cheaper than new and he has about 20 bikes right now. You can even tell him what bike you want and he'll find one for you. I can help ya with refurbishing your existing bike if it needs it. Always lokking for projects to do over the winter. I was thinking of going to Attica on the dirt bikes on Sunday (Dec 5th) - anyone else? Eric

Sabian and Ryan.... I know... I would love to get a bike that needs some work and make a winter project out of it!!! Wish I had the money right now. Looks like the only thing I'll be able to work on this winter is the gs. Looking to buy another bike Feb- early spring. And no, not new.... obviously, I dont need to spend too much money on a bike quite yet! LOL Probably looking to spend $35 to $5... i dunno. Just something with 4 cylenders (sp?) LOL One of my buddies has an r6 for $39, not actually for sale, so he could still have it then. Definately thinking a 600 though. Mike.... thanks for the offer.... I dont know if I would even be comfortable on someone else's bike at the gap... but that's something we can both think about when time gets closer..lol... You may have a change of heart about the situation by then! I have wrecked twice this year, I wouldnt blame you!!! I wouldn't let me borrow a bike for the gap if I was someone else..lol... maybe for a little ride or something. But anyways, something we can both think about if it is necessary when time gets closer. Eric..... Where is Attica?... Up north? I'm always up for a day in the woods!!! Chit... scratch that, have to work... oh well, maybe another time. Thanks for the offer of help on the gs... I think I can take care of everything myself though. And what I need help on, my dad is here to help. Thanks anyways, i appreciate it. We will definately have to go tear up the woods sometime together!! Always looking for new riding buddies. Getting some new boots for Christmas... I think its the only girl boot out there LOL I get so frustrated looking at gear, dirt and street!! Not much of a selection for us female riders LOL! Anyways... now that I have written 2 pages in a post I think I will end with that! Hope everyone is doing well!!

It's looking like I will be able to make it.... How long do you plan on being out Mike?? And maybe you could give me an idea of where I'm going LOL.... If you dont want to post directions, just give me a call sometime before Monday!! Looks like its just me and you so far.... the guy I'm dating will probably come, and maybe a few other friends! I hope some more of you guys can make it!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!!

OMG...it's gonna be 65 on Sat. If this snow and wet shit is gone by then, I might have to break the baby out of the garage and go ride...
