Okay guys and gals. Here’s a ride you wont want to miss. It’s being put on by Two Wheel Philanthropy (a not for profit organization which sets up some of the best rides and was founded by two guys that LOVE sport bikes) as the main event for 2005. The proceeds will be divided between the City of Loogootee, Indiana to help build a skate park for children to help curb a growing drug problem and Toys For Tots. Both extremely worthwhile causes. There will be plenty more added but here are the details thus far. The ride will begin at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 17th, 2005. All of the riders will get two laps around the track. That’s right, you’ll get to take your bike around the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. And just so you can show it off to your friends, we’ll be sure to have professional photographers on hand to take each person’s picture. From there, everyone will head south east to Rising Sun, Indiana to the final stopping point at the Grand Victoria Casino. And once you get to the casino, all of the riders will get a free buffet style meal in the Grand Victoria Casino’s main ball room. Let me tell you, they have some awesome food. There will also be music and a whole slew of other things going on in there that we are in the midst of setting up. There will be a bike show at the casino with prizes awarded for best sport bike, best cruiser, and best custom bike. The winners of the bike show will have their bikes showcased in the casino’s main ball room and put on display for everyone to see for the remainder of the day (until you are ready to leave). We will also have a feature on Two Wheel Tuesday. The winners of the bike show just may get a spot on Speed Vision and in several bike magazines. Oh, and just to help get you ready for the bike show there will be a bike wash. We’re trying and likely will get the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders for the bike wash. Wouldn’t that make an awesome picture to show to you riding buddies? There will be a tattoo show with prizes awarded for several categories and a few of the countries finest tattoo artists on hand to stain your skin right there on the spot. Also, all riders and passengers will be entered to win a ton of extremely nice and extremely expensive door prizes donated by motorcycle shops, leather shops, tattoo shops, and area eateries, just to name a few. We will also be having a silent auction. All registered riders and passengers will receive a t-shirt, a patch, ability to ride around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the opportunity to meet and ride with some famous celebrities, a free meal, entry into the bike show, entry into the tattoo contest, and a $10.00 credit to be used aboard the beautiful Grand Victoria Casino. All of this for a tax deductible $55.00 per rider and only $10.00 per passenger. Considering everything to be offered, it’s a steal. We are in the process of building a website that will have all of the information and will be updated to include all of the added info for the ride and the vendors that will be on hand. Mark your calender for this event. September 17th, 2005. You wont want to miss it. Make your reservations now to spend the night. We’re expecting thousands of riders so act fast. The closest spots will go quick. You can reserve a room at the Grand Victoria Casino by calling 1-800-GRAND-11. Or contact the Empire House at 1-800-313-1996 for a room just blocks away from the casino right on the Ohio River. There are a ton of hotels in the area but those are the few numbers I have at this point. We will post all of the contact info for all of the area hotels on our website when it is finished. And when you are finished at the event, some of the nicest roads in Indian are around Rising Sun. I lived there for several years. They are without question, some of the best Indiana has to offer. One is a close replica of Deals Gap. A bit shorter, but one hell of a ride none-the-less. And should you get tired of Indiana, Cross the river to tackle the hills of Kentucky. There will be more than enough to quench the adrenalin thirst of any style rider. If you have any questions about the event or feel that this is something that you company would be interested in being involved with, feel free to contact me at middletonmd@yahoo.com
