Well my 3 month old R1 now sits at the dealer slightly crinkled after a wheelie gone bad. The city apparently decided to pave my street while I was gone last friday, and even better they left aabout a 2 inch deep pile of loose gravel at the very end of the street. Well to make a long story short I was riding a wheelie down the street and hit the newly paved area and when I hit all that gravel, goodbye. Next thing I know i am in the gutter looking up at my friends, laughing their asses off. I had all my gear on so I am ok, and suprisingly the bike slid most of the way on the left side on the frame sliders and the handlebar, so it really isn't hurt to bad. But hey, when i got home the city was nice enought to have left a note on my door that they paved the street lol. Anyway, anyone that has the left mirror, left clipon, or a red tail they wanna part with let me know. I don't claim my stupidity on my insurance, so maybe I can save some money getting parts from someone else. Thanks.

That sucks to hear, glad you made it out ok. I've been known to do a little power wheelie here and there in the neighborhood, but usually save the big stuff for the open highway.

Gravel and Wind are my two worst enemies......well cops breaking up bike night are also on that list:D
