Sabian 03-15-2005, 10:00 PM I'm going out tomorrow...not a big ride..but i'm going out. pbfaster 03-16-2005, 09:10 AM I here and ready to go!!!! Sabian 03-16-2005, 06:29 PM We'll see....and personally I hate the reference "crotch rockets"....it's a sport bike man. courtjester 03-17-2005, 03:39 AM yeah, whatever. sport rocket. how's that? :dunno SuzukiGirl 03-17-2005, 04:12 PM Still here ;) getting ready to get another bike :D I'm thinking along the lines of a 929 or something. Crazy girl:p I'm not sure yet though. I've been riding a 929 and really like it. No probs handling it at all.... i may kill myself if i get one though.
Anyways, anyone sees a good deal on just about anything, let me know... I've not decided what i want, so just keep your ears opened for me. Ready to get back on the street!! :riding
I definately think a good Brown County trip should hold off for a little while... until we get a few good showers to rinse the sand and shit off the roads. But I can't wait!!! Hope to see you guys soon. Sabian 03-17-2005, 05:42 PM Hey SG, Dave and I were out today...you missed out hun.
BTW, have you looked at that 02 red R1 for sale in Martinsville? Brand new on the show room floor...depending on your price range you could have that for close to the price of a 929 I'd think.
Just a thought. SuzukiGirl 03-17-2005, 07:01 PM Hey Zach... I know you guys were out today. I asked Dave to take me for a ride, but he never called back :(
Nope, I havent seen that r1... havent really looked at anything yet, still deciding on my price range. I'm not trying to put too much into a bike, looking at my poor GS :no Where is it? I'm sure its worth checking out! Plus, the new riding jacket Joe Rocket gave me is red :D
Mike.... I am still planning on going to the track day. It sucks because its on the same day this lady wants me to model some of her female riding clothes and gear :( Oh well, I'm sure I'll be going to the track day instead. I'll take some pics for you guys. I'm sure I wont be taking a bike. It will be cool to check it out and hang out anyways. I am off work. r6dirtydave 03-17-2005, 07:17 PM Originally posted by SuzukiGirl

Well, maybe if you didn't live way down in Inditucky, I could have made it..., lol..., sorry babe, but we called it early. Being St. Patty's Day n' all, I really wasn't game for being on the roads after dark. Don't worry, sometime I'll show you the wrath of the R6..., because it's red, and we all know that's the fast one :yesnod !!!! Sabian 03-17-2005, 08:00 PM We might be out saturday afternoon if it's not crappy out. Dave may have some woman friend of his in town, I can put my rear pegs back on if you want to ride a bit. We can go to Martinsville to look at that R1 if you want. I'll PM ya. courtjester 03-17-2005, 08:20 PM Mike.... I am still planning on going to the track day. i'm setting a 929 up for a track bike. i would have sold it about a month ago for cheap too. you'll have to get on the ball woman.
see ya there saturday.
sturges is south of henderson, ky. i'm about 2 1/2 hours south of indy and sturges is about 2 hours south of me. it would be a long ride. but it's a bike expo and kind of a rally. you're sure to get some shots of some fat harley chicks with there tits and guts hanging out. if nothing else it's all good for a laugh.
we've got about 25 or 30 riders from here going down so far. most of them on cruisers but a hand full on crotch rockets... ur...uhhhhh... sorry sabn. crotch sports??? or was it sport crotches??? you know? the fast shiney things that you ride between you're legs. no, not the chrome dil... oops:finger Sabian 03-17-2005, 08:24 PM CJ: :2bitchsla pbfaster 03-18-2005, 08:29 AM Maaaan..... depends on what kits are out there for them and how strong the motors are. may go with a little spray but turbo is the way to go. so far the numbers are looking good for the gsxr so we will see. but if it is not here in the next 2-3 weeks i am picking up a new r1. It is a long thread started last year, so you will have to start reading around page 9......look for today date in the posts......30 March. Once things are set, I will try to get back here and update this post.
FYI, we normally meet in Nashville, IN or Bloomington and take off from there..........446, 135, 58, 45, 450, 150 and 43 are some of the roads we will most likely be on. argibson 03-30-2005, 05:42 AM Thanks Joe, looking forward to meeting up again after the long winter. Track day for me at Putnam on Sat., but if the ride goes down on Sunday, I will be there. Sorry about the small shitty camera phone pic but best I had atm, I will get better this weekend but this bike is soooo F'n bad. The bike is so unbelievable, I mean I havent really got too crazy with it but the bike is a beast and yet soooo nimble. You get it in a corner and its begging you to get her down. I never rode on any other tires except the Dunlops that came on my 600 but these Bridgestones on it are killer. I did make a few quick bursts with it but nothing above 6500 rpms and Im telling you now this bike will pick the front end up in 3rd no problem or atleast it felt that way with the :butt dyno. This thing pulls and pulls and pulls no matter what gear you are in.
Pro's: Shifting is flawless I mean u just slightly lift your boot and its in the next gear. You dont feel no click or anything half the time I have to check the gear indicator to even make sure I shifted its that nice. As was stated above power delivery and handling is a dream. Gear indicator is great as well havent tested the slipper clutch yet as Im in break in but soon enough I can tell you all about it.
Con's: Welds on it as people have stated could be a little bit cleaner but they arent that bad. Windscreen and mirrors are garbage. I have no wind protection but I guess thats my fault at being 6'3 a new windscreen is on the way. Mirrors vibrate and are difficult to see out of they will be coming off this weekend.
Last thing which isnt really a bad thing but is just taking some time to get used to is the tall first gear its like Im starting a WSBK race I have to rev the thing sort of high to get it going I will adjust the clutch lever like I did on my 600 so its a little tighter.
All in all Im not dissappointed at all in this purchase, even though the R1 was first in line to this but went ahead with the Gixx. 2 days with it 200 miles down. Hopefully soon I can meet up with some of you for some :riding Be Safe!!! HideOut 03-30-2005, 04:48 PM You boys coming down to "The Ville" for Derby week riding?

at the risk of sounding stupid; what's derby week??? KY Derby???
thought that was with horses. i don't have a horse. but when is it??? 2001FZ1 03-30-2005, 08:27 PM Ok guys, how does this sound?
Meet at the BP in NASHVILLE at 10:30am on Sunday 3rd.
This shouldn't be too early for the Indy riders and it should be a little warmer by then too.
Normal wait rules apply......wait 15min and leave.
I thought we could stick to familar roads since its still early in the year and some of use might be a little rusty yet.
How does this route look? Its 85 miles. argibson 03-30-2005, 08:35 PM Looks great, thanks Joe! See you then. Looking forward to it.
Ryan HideOut 03-31-2005, 07:01 PM yes the Kentucky Derby. Happens to draw a few thousand bikers too. The McCoys have came before Shane has told me but sometimes it interferes with their racing schedules. We have some interested rides along with the gawking at the girls downtown, parties, etc. We usually street race to the tune of a few thousand bikes and people BUT the usual coarse was blocked off a couple months after last year's derby thanks to some A-Hole ricer car drivers. Not sure were we will set them off this year. The 1/8m drag track has a real event on sunday, the day after those weaker horses run.

The weekend of derby is usually bikes from all over. We used to street race but our primary location is closed so not sure what we'll do now. The track is an 1/8M event the day after the derby, rented by a bike club. They rent the whole thing so tons of venders set up and sell and cook. ya dont have to pay $4 for a crapburger. That'll get ya a slab of ribs instead. If mother nature holds out it'll be awesome.
