Im thinking of getting the excort 8500. Anybody know how well these things work on the bike? Or have any suggestions?

I have an 8500 hard-wired, with the screamer. I can hear it go off easily at 130mph (don't ask)
My buddy has an 8500 and the HARD (Helmet mounted). Red LED mounted inside the helmet.
