Just installed a pair of vortex frame sliders on my 2005 R1 as shown in the pictures below. My main reasoning behing selecting vortex is because of the conical aluminum mount that is fastened directly to the frame. When compared to other brands such as graves, gyt-r, and sato I prefered this look over the skinny aluminum cylinder that each of those sets use. If you have seen those brands you should know what I am talking about. I have also included a picture to give an idea of the length. From other pictures I have seen vortex frame sliders appear to be average length. Just take a look at the picture and you decide. Overall, selecting vortex was just a personal preference. To anyone who is considering vortex, you will not be dissappointed. http://www.r1-forum.com/gallery/data/506/44307DSC00030.JPG http://www.r1-forum.com/gallery/data/506/44307DSC00028.JPG http://www.r1-forum.com/gallery/data/2/44307DSC00039.JPG

I agree that the vortex are made well, I've tried vortex, graves and shogun, I am using the shogun because they are the longest.

How did the right side fit for you. I just put mine on yesterday and had to bend the right fairing around the slider. Did you do the same?

the other nice thing about the vortex is the fact that if you do fall and mess one up you can replace just the slider part and not have to buy a whole new assembly
