Track time at PPIR!

:rock :riding :rock Today I'm riding in the "Racing 2 Save Lives" event at PPIR. It starts today and ends Friday with all the money going to children's charities. I'll be riding with my friend Steve who is riding a Honda 929RR and has a number of years worth of riding as well as owns a few extra bikes. :cool: Anyways...I've got to finish packing up and load up my bike so that I can go pick him up. Well we made it out of there in once piece and it :rock :rock :rock It was 70+ all day with maybe 20minutes worth of light sprinkles near 1pm. Other than that the day was awesome! :riding PPIR is a hell of a track. Very fast, slightly shorter than SCR but that adds to how fast it is. I highly recommend you go ride it if/when you get the chance. Unfortunately it takes an event like this as PPIR doesn't do wanton track days. :rant :mad: Only licensed MRA racers can ride PPIR during the practice times before a race weekend and at the race weekend itself. Next year I'm going to do two time slots, today we just did 12pm-3pm and as much as I really wanted to do the 3pm-6pm time slot I don't think my body was up for it. That and Steve who works for UPS had to work tonight and needed to get home. Ah well...it was a damn good day. :epimp

Sounds great... it frickin drizzled all day today here.. Track days sound like a blast, I want to take some classes to get better at riding before I go blastin' around not knowing what I am really doing..:crash :crash I would like to keep my bike in one piece as long as I can.:yesnod

Yeah I would like to finally take some racing classes to get a better grip on reality while I'm out there. Most of all you just want to get out there and get some track time under your belt. You don't need to go haulin ass your first few times out. Just get the feel of it. PPIR is such a rarity that I didn't want to pass it up. I'm very glad I didn't. That was good shizzle. :thumbup

Great!!! Glad to hear you had good weather and also a shitload of fun. Someday when I grow up, I want to ride there.

Well I'm sure you'll get the next year to "grow up" as those bichez don't host track time except for special events. :mad: :rant

Not sure we're going to make it down there. Got lots of riding to do with the little woman...get her practiced enough to get onto the highway for the ride to the AMA races. I can't believe this is taking so long. :(

Im takling about next weekend. I tried to teach my wife to ride too. Couldn't understand "why cant she get it?" So she took the MSF course and she does fine.. I cant wait..............................

Just be patient, it'll work out. My wife didn't jump right on her bike the first time and ride like hell.

It's not even that...she's just such a timid person to begin with. Make no mistake that I'm proud of her and just the fact alone that she's bough a bike and taken on riding is worlds apart from where she was even a year ago. I guess I just want her to ride to PPIR so that I can show her off to all you biachez! :lol :finger
