InkBones 02-03-2002, 02:44 PM Yeah how much???:D
bmsnu 02-03-2002, 08:40 PM funny the cycle trader says you have 500 coming in two weeks I'd say false advertizing. by the way whoi does the advertizing get that goofy king off the ad:bs
R1_JOKER 02-04-2002, 02:30 AM bmsnu I second that motion :bs
a company tring to make money here on the forum. Sounds more like they are trying free advertisement:n0t

thesilverbullet 02-04-2002, 06:52 PM Whoooa, hey guys..take it easy. I'm not in advertising- just a new guy trying to get some sales under my belt.
Before the end of the summer we will have moved 500 R1's in and out of our doors, and that aint no shit!! In the summer we move around 80-90 bikes A DAY!
I aint out here trying to screw anybody. We sell em for less than anyone in the country. If your interested in saving a $1000 bucks then call me, otherwise go to your local dealer and take it up the ass for $10,500.
Just the facts,
the silverbullet
toba r1 02-04-2002, 07:06 PM :blah That doesn't sound like such a great deal to me ...
I calculated roughly in canadian funds thats about $15000, Considering I payed $12800 cdn for mine.
My personal feeling is that if you want to make sales do it on your own personal web site not here:n0t
thesilverbullet 02-04-2002, 09:27 PM WOW! Whats the conversion rate? I find it hard to believe that you paid less than 9500 (US).
SB
trebs 02-04-2002, 09:34 PM If toba r1 is talking about a '01 R1 for $12800 CDN then he's about right. I only paid $12500 for mine in July. 0 clicks on the clock.
But that's not important if you absolutely NEED the newest year...:rock
R1_JOKER 02-04-2002, 10:49 PM Hey silverbullet I think that is nice of you to want to get out the word about the "great deal" your new dealership is offering but I think the point that evryone is saying here is that this is not a advertisment web site for just anybody to post and sell there goods. Kinda like putting up a ad sign in someones front yard, someone you dont know at that. If your dalership has great deals and you just want to help out some fellow motorist then go about it the right way, dont stepp on toes and do it the quick easy and cheap way, otherwise you loose business not gain it.
Joker
Nucking Futs 02-05-2002, 02:26 AM He's just trying to pass a good deal along. If your not interested, ignore it. But if your selling 80-90 bikes a day, your gonna sell WAY more than 500 by the end of summer. Your gonna sell 500 by the end of the week!
thesilverbullet 02-05-2002, 07:28 AM My sentiments exactly- like i said, this is just an offer to save money...plain and simple. If youre not interested in buying a new R1, then why are you reading this post?
If I remember correctly this is the "sell" area of the forum. If i wanted to be a jag about it, I'd have posted throughout the forum. C'mon joker, dont be hostile on the board...just cause you messed up and bought a carbeurated R1 for more than I'm selling FI units for.
Peace, Silverbullet
thesilverbullet 02-05-2002, 07:32 AM O yeah, and in the "ON" season- we DO sell over 500 bikes a week. The facility is massive, 2 floors of wall to wall bikes.
silverbullet
bmsnu 02-05-2002, 08:42 AM You know what , tell your price w/ freight and prep, documentation fees and whatever else I live in wi:p
bmsnu 02-05-2002, 08:46 AM and if it's a price I can't walk pass up I'll be in to pickone up
madcow 02-05-2002, 10:51 AM :bs if this is the same store i think it is (in chicago) home of the big ads in local paper magazines...then i drove there to buy 2 bikes at the low low price that i was told over the phone. AND GUESS WHAT!!! NO DEALS!! the price on the bikes were right -but..by the time the freight/ set-up/ prep and whatever else was added!!! THE PRICE WAS OVER WHAT I COULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE FOR ANYWHERE ELSE. my advice...(for whatever it is worth) check on all "extra" costs first and be carefull if you are going to travel very far to get there. i even ask about the additional cost first and was still screwed on them at deal time. i had the $$ and was ready to buy 2 new ones. just my experience...and the big millon bike showroom didn't have as many bikes availible as they said it did. they did day that they had more "downstairs" that i couldn't go see. just my experience and a maybe it will help someone else avoid this. :sleep again:sleep the price on the bike was good...the total price out the door was terrible!!! support your local dealer when possible!!! just my .02

Haahahahah That's funny....cause i was at your store in early january and the best price you guys could give me on the 2002 R1's was 10900 out the door (I even had 4 buddies who were going to buy bikes). I even got to talk to your managers scott and jerry. They didn't do jack. You state a low price for the bike, but when you add in your hidden costs of shipping, prep..that totals to about 500 and then add in the tax.
You're store tries to sell on the fact that you guys are the "Largest Volume Dealer in the Midwest". As with my experience w/ your store, you guys brainwash the customers into thinking that they can't get a better price elsewhere :n0t
Guess What......we went down the street to your friends at Champion and came out in 10 minutes with a price for the 2002 R1 for 10000 out the door. I should have known better...this is the place where i bought my first bike. And to think i was willing to pay 10500 out the door for the r1 at your store. :lol
and your statement about pushing 500 r1's by the end of summer. Your manager Scott told me you'd only be getting less than 100 of them....so i guess that was a lie too. Huh..:n0t
So much volume...and so much profit....somebody's got some deep pockets over there.
Just the Facts,

scooter 02-05-2002, 02:27 PM How much out the door?
They're charging 9700 on the machine (Silver, its 9500 on the others). Add in the rest however (frieght/prep, tax bla bla bla....) and honestly you're in the same ****ing boat - add about 600-700 for the BS and you're looking essentially at about 10,400 out the door PRETAX - Honestly, you'd be better off going to a smaller shop that's got the machine and will sell it to you at retail plus tax ONLY out the door! There's no special deal here.
Guys - wake up!!! The Silver is in the most ridiculously high demand - everyone knows they can overcharge and they will. I'm on the east coast - after shipping and what not, I'd rather pay the extra 400-500 bucks, which is what the difference is. Remember, no shipping means a local dealer and a little more piece of mind- Imagine your reaction when the mayflower man pulls up in his truck and you have a shining new gorgeous machine with a nice little ding in the tank!!!! :machinegu :machinegu
Go to your local dealer - bargain with them - if they won't play ball, look a little further outside of the big cities, obviously they'll work with you more. Remember that in NYC, They're selling for over 13,500 out the door! (yes, that's right) and people are paying hand-over-fist no-problem, because they're guarenteed a machine ASAP from a legit dealer - OR COURSE there's going to be a premium. I'm extremely happy having paid retail!!
One thing to remember also, is that dealers always advertise a dream price and then don't deliver - they're the real scum bags, because they get you signed, then don't deliver for an extra 2 months and essentially take you out of the market (because you're already signed) and sell bikes for the rip-off price right away (when you should have taken delivery). Remember these guys aren't stupid and know all the tricks - try to get everything in writing and make sure you have a reputable dealer, if not, THEN you really get ****ed!
:bash
StalkerEJ 02-05-2002, 02:58 PM hey silverbullet...are you from chicago cycle center. I went there the other day. I didnt see one single 2002 R1. I also missed seeing the second floor. Whats the deal???
bmsnu 02-05-2002, 06:57 PM The local shop here went off of first thought on the silver he liked it so he made sure he had as many silvers as he could .
bmsnu 02-05-2002, 07:08 PM sorry I can't lie the shop I work for is the local shop. I'm tring to buy one the ones we have left and ! I ! have to pay msrp. I 've delt w?CCC all summer and fall with the outragous prices. but hey if their making money and have a Happy:hellobye cliental more power to them , And eric you sound like your really tring to sell your product like a good salesman should. Your also trying let a comunity like the r1-forum know that you have aproduct we all want.
P.S. Try and find on these for me(avatar):bs
thesilverbullet 02-06-2002, 07:44 AM Take it easy guys- I can only reply on these so quickly.
1st off yes we have two floors and I am more than willing to escort you to our private downstairs showroom. Just ask- - We are very busy a lot of times and dont have a spare 5 min. to go and bullshit in the basement. And yes you must have an escort; we dont let customers wander aimlessly through hundreds of bikes that are packed wall to wall. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU LET SOME stranger HANG OUT IN YOUR GARAGE?
2nd- you are absolutely right..there are additional costs to our advertised prices. ALL DEALERSHIPS DO THAT!! I never said 9499 OTD! ANYWHER you go youll have to pay tax, title, lic. etc.. Youre right, the bike will be in the mid tens or so when all is said and done. Compare that to your local retail price...then open your mouth.
3rd- Yes these bikes are going to get marked up come spring.. The demand for them is huge right now and will triple by the time temps start rising. This offer is what my boss offers NOW. I dont know what theyll charge next month.
And finally-If you didnt see an R1 in our showroom its because the bike isnt released from yamaha. Duh!
Its scheduled to be released in a few more weeks.
sorry if this got long but opinions are like assholes- everyones got one and they all stink.
SB
CLovaR1 02-06-2002, 01:40 PM Well, I just called Eric and his prices aren't as good as he says. Too bad you're not willing to deal Eric. I would have sent several more buyers your way. :no
Not true, you don't have to pay tax/title everywhere.

That's exactly what i went through w/ them. We had 4 buyers maybe 5 and they couldn't work w/ me. Went down the street to another dealer and they beat them by 900 dollars.
R1MAN 02-06-2002, 02:31 PM CLovaR1,i was asking thesilverbullet
Okay fellas...time to vote.
Who has had enough of Sliverbullets long winded B.S.?
I know I have.
I have seen his type before, and it angers me that he is allowed to fuel this shitball story of his, that is so obviously full of crap...its all crappy salesmanship, and you guys are all wasting your energy on him. Everyone on this board has been down the road...lets not insult ourselves any longer....
My vote....Eric is a typical Salesman and should do his business elsewhere. Not in here.
1meanZ 02-06-2002, 02:59 PM I have the current Chicago Cycle Center ad in front of me right now. "New 2002 Yamaha YZFR1 coming in January was $10,295 SALE $9195." I saw the new 954 RR when I was in there on Monday and the salesman told me $9399. The ad in front of me says $9095. I have heard nothing but bad stuff about this place from people all over the midwest. Be careful if you choose to deal with these people.
1meanZ 02-06-2002, 03:06 PM BTW, the advertised price of $9195 plus $500 for set up, shipping, license etc. makes it $9695 which still isn't that bad - if you can get it for $9695.
Dude...Eric...Silverbullet...whoever you are...
Dude, you opened a fatass can of worms for your store on this site. Hope your boss doesn't read this.

agreed.. I second that motion :hellobye
thesilverbullet 02-06-2002, 07:34 PM Hey guys, If you think you can get a better deal from your local boys then GO DO IT, and stop youre whining!
The bottom line is the owners of CCC have been selling bikes for 20yrs, and apparently theyve done good by their customers...otherwise he wouldve been out of business long ago.
Peace, SB
Dudes you guys are paying way too much for your scooters! Paid $15000 neat for an 01 new, the shop threw in 1k worth of gear choosen by me. Given the exchange rate of Australian to US dollars it works out at around $7600, now given I can walk in tomorrow and put a deposit for an 02 at a rideaway price of $17500 ($8750 US)..... :butt
bmsnu 02-06-2002, 08:15 PM Hey unless you live in IL CCC can't charge you tax that has to be done in you home state when you register you new ride. I think were taking atleast $1000 off for pre delivery 02 R1's thats before they hit our floor
CLovaR1 02-07-2002, 06:53 AM Cool R1Man! I'm with the rest of you. Silverbullet needs to hold his tongue. When I called, he hadn't even seen the '02 R1 in his dealer. Dunno what his deal is. I bought a '02 Gix1k for $9580 OTD. All I wanted was for him to come close and he said, NO WAY. :butt
The dealer where I got the Gix will give it to me for the same price but I don't want to wait any longer.
thesilverbullet 02-07-2002, 08:29 AM Hey clova- you want a gix1000 for that price then yeah- i can beat that price...you wanted to pay the same thing for a brand new R1!! Aint gonna happen! All; you goons keep talking about how youve already bought your new r1's for under 10K OTD. POST THE INVOICE!
Talk is cheap, lets see some proof. I can back up EVERY WORD I've posted. i stand behind my original quote of $9499. IF YOU HAVE AN AD, that states we sell em for less...bring it in and WE HAVE TO HONOR THAT.
Peace, SB
CLovaR1 02-07-2002, 08:45 AM Silverbullet, Lets get it right. I BOUGHT a Gix1k for that price. Dude a few hundred dollars aint sh!t to me. I'm just saying you're on the forum talking about deals you can make then DEAL.. I'll post my invoice in a few weeks with my final price and I PROMISE you it'll be less than $9800 OTD. Put some money where your mouth is. :butt
hal 9000 02-07-2002, 09:35 AM You guys should stop comparing prices if you don't live in the same country because you have no basis for comparison. Of course bikes will be cheaper in canada than in the states....it's always been like that, our dollar is weak... Go to France, you'll be paying big $$ for the same bike... that just the way life goes...
As for Eric, leave the guy alone, he's offering you guys his prices... if you don't like it, then don't read it and move on... Stop crying. So what if he's using the board to sell bikes...last time I checked this was a motorcyclist board. If he doesn't match your price go somewhere else and buy it there...
R1_OOKLAH 02-07-2002, 09:45 AM well new guy you tell king jerry he can keep his bikes and his f@$!$# up illinois title :bs thats bullshit
in case you did not know. 4 of my friends bought bikes from you guys and for some reason the titles were mysterously misplaced. and it took almost a month and a half for duplicate titles to be mailed to them
and your temp plate is only good for 7 days :bs .
no thanks im glad i bought mine from a local dealer and the rock bottom prices you were selling R1s for buy the end of summer was only $400 cheaper than what i paid
out the door and they got me financed you did not:no
and my plate was 1month and i had my title in a week.
needles to no one from my area will be buying from king
jerry this year or any other,oh and dont even get me started on your false ads about how many bike you have 3 times my friends called and they were told no what issue of auto trader do you have it must be wrong.
most people here allready have money down or its paid for so please no more free ads posted here it is

R1_OOKLAH 02-07-2002, 10:06 AM well it seems not many of us have delt with king jerrys
jokers so here it is they have a shit load of bikes ive seen down stairs and it was packed and yes someone does have to go with you to see these but YOUR DEALERSHIP SUCKS JACKASS!!!:bash :bash :bash
i warn all who read this it does not matter what they tell you on the phone the deal is not the same when you get there they count on you to be coming from far away with money or loan ready to go and ****ed in the ass it happens oh we cant do that so what are you going to do pay 500 to 900 more or go all the way home with no bike??like i said my local dealer sold me my R1 in may and had to find a red one from another dealer and still i only paid $10,100 thats tax title prep
everything and they got my loan for me. this is a dead
matter no :blah :blah :blah left for you SB so peddal you wares some where else thankyou.
:hellobye :hellobye :hellobye :hellobye
juttsr1 02-07-2002, 10:28 AM HEY MAN I HAVE NO PROBLEM.
but what i want to know is when these bikes will be in??? thats the big question !!! and NO dealer seems to be able to tell me that. SO back this up!!!:no
CLovaR1 02-07-2002, 10:33 AM Hey Jutts, They are in Michigan and in Northern Ohio right now. I sat on one the other day. :yesnod
juttsr1 02-07-2002, 11:10 AM well, ill tell you what they better start putting those things into the trucks. im about to go to ca and start loading them myself. lazy ****ers:mad:
GUYS - everyone is arguing and complaining about pricing on the R1s - here is the deal. The ****ing machine COSTS the dealers a little bit over 9 grand =- I beleive the exact cost is 9037.00 per unit. Obviously the dealers need to make a profit on these, so you can add shit on from there. Bottom line: If you are paying less then 9,700 OUT THE DOOR (excluding TAX) you are doing very very very well on this machine: consider this:
List price is 10,299. Freight and Prep should be between 300-600 over this in a usual situation...However I have never once paid freight and prep on any new bike I've purchased - I hate those charges and negotiate out of them. I have called Eric, and the real deal is DIFFERENT than all you guys think:
he wants 9400 for the red or blue
9600 for the silver
these prices DO NOT include his little bullshit charges...However, you will find, once he does put on the extra charges, the price is JUST around full retail price: 10,299. Still, this is not a terrible deal - In fact, I am fortunate in NY to have paid flat retail + tax OTD....Be advised, here in NY, the bikes are selling for between 11,500 and 12,500 PRE TAX OTD!!!! Add tax to that and see what you come up with! The fact is, you midwest guys are pretty lucky, to you, a scumbag dealer is one who wants you to pay retail price, and tried to con you into the dealership by advertising a dirt cheap price... WHY DON'T YOU COME TO NY AND FIND OUT WHAT A REAL SCUMBAG DEALER IS!!! In NY, not only does the SCUMBAG dealer RAPE you on the price, but in fact goes a few more scumbag steps further :bash and promises early delivery and then keeps you waiting so he can sell the bike for EVEN MORE MONEY to someone willing to pay AN EXTRA 1,000 MORE, provided he can take delviery NOW - In other words, as if he didn't rape you for enough money, now he is selling YOUR BIKE to someone for even more money, and you have to wait longer.
You guys need to stop crying! The machine isn't even out yet and you guys are pissing and moaning over a few bucks....obviously there is huge demand on these machines, so therefore the buyer is at a big disadvantage - simple economics guys! bear in mind when this actually hits the floor demand is gonna shoot up even more, AS WILL the price - particularly on the silver. If you are getting a silver for retail (10,299) flat, then I insist you are doing very well - IF you take delivery of it by mid march, as everyone is promising, then you are in much better than fine shape.
STOP CRYING- GO BUY A BIKE!!!:n0t
CLovaR1 02-07-2002, 12:06 PM Actually, it is like $8800 per unit. It costs about $400 to ship from whereever to the dealer. My dealer made me pay exactly what they paid to get it to the store. Furthermore, we are not in here crying. Silverbullet got on here talking bout he has 20 NEW R1's and he'll beat this or beat that. He don't even have the bike so he's beating his meat. He's not dealing with kids here. We're grown men with money ready to buy a bike. He should have kept his mouth shut until they were sitting in his showroom. I found this dealer in '00 when I got the updated R1. . He is getting several R1's and none of them are spoken for. I bought a '00 R1 off of them. Mind you, this is not where I am getting my bike so dont quote any prices I said on this forum. he will have no idea what you're talking about.
419-522-8602- Hales Cycle Center.
bojackr1 02-07-2002, 01:10 PM Yo scud,
you hit it dead on the nose!!!!!
A dealer here in NY told me 11,500 so after that you add 8.25% salse tax plus the cost of plates
and registration=alot of bulls%it.
so you guys in the midwest and canada are lucky.
And if your on the list to get a bike you must have 3000
cash to put down. And don't think that because your on the list and your money is down that you will get the bike, because if the next man comes with the full amount
of cash or more, you go down on the list and he gets his bike ( or should I say YOUR BIKE) before you do.
So I say let the man LIVE.
If he wants to Advertise his bikes on this forum then let him because we are all grown and if we don't want to buy from him then.
And we should all stop worring about what price the next person is getting his for. When the R6 came out I paid almost 10 grand for it. That's the brakes.
First off, no one is saying you're kids - however everyone is speculating on who this guy is and what he has - I've called him, and what he has is nothing spectacular, it's just a pretty standard deal in great-deal clothes. My goal is to let everyone know exactly what he's offering so we don't waste our time arguing about bullshit - The simple fact is he should have posted his price with his message - no mysteries, just a offered deal.
Second, you say he shouldn't be running his mouth because there are none there yet - but show me a dealership with any in stock? Better yet, who cares if you show me a single dealership which has ONE? They just aren't around yet! ...I'm not going to speculate as to the mid west, but I can tell you on both coasts most of the silvers (all silvers at some dealerships) are already spoken for - For the few that are left, you have to be very naive to think that dealers will even be willing to talk about the price once they're in stock - most dealers are offering some kind of promo now just to get your money in the door -- When these things come in everywhere, it's gonna be bedlam and the prices are going to reflect it -- If you really think you're going to bargain once these are delivered, I hope you're ready to take home a red one!!!
piotrowr 02-07-2002, 01:23 PM I have two words "BUY USED"! And be happy just like me:hellobye
CLovaR1 02-07-2002, 01:24 PM Right in deed! Let me tell you this. Money talks. In '00 when the new R1 came out, I went to a dealership that had both colors sitting on the floor waiting for guys that said they wanted them but was awaiting finance. I wrote a check and rode home on a red '00 R1. The same thing will happen with this one. My dealer will sell me whichever color I want when it arrives. I'm not too pressed though cause I have a '02 Gix1k that needs broke in. Granted, I understand what you're talking about.
bongoray 02-07-2002, 02:46 PM Dealers don't pay that much for bikes. I got my 2001 for $8665. There's no way that they sold the bike for less than what they paid for it. :butt
I was looking over the owner's shoulder at his price list and I could've sworn I saw $7999 being HIS price. Oh and this is in NY. I agree that almost every dealer here sucks. But, if you find the right dealer AND the right person (usually the owner) you'll get a good deal. Just don't take their shit! :machinegu:blah
CLovaR1 02-07-2002, 02:52 PM I know they pay atleast $8800 for the '02. I have great relationship with my dealer and I was holding the paper with their prices. They pay almost the same for the R1 as they do the Gix1k. The Gix750 cost them about $7100 and retail is damn near $9200. So :error on your part. You got a bike for cheaper than what they paid for it. Who knows, they could have had a good month when they sold you your bike and could take that hit.
sdittm1 02-07-2002, 07:05 PM He sold me a Blue 2002 R1 for $10600 OTD thats with tax, title, plates, setup and doc fee. I called Des Plaines Yamaha, Champion cycle, and Banzi motorsports. They basically told me that $10600 was a great deal and I should buy it from Chicago Cycle.
Thanks again to the SilverBullet.
bmsnu 02-07-2002, 08:44 PM Actually the msrp is supposed to include freight and prep. We have ONE '01 left selling for 8646 take a guess what what dealer cost is for the new R1 is anyway I didn't mean to make this a big deal, didn't want to step on toes. Dude let's be happy " The New One Is Here"
thesilverbullet 02-08-2002, 07:24 AM Thank you sdittm1, I'll call you the minute your bike rolls thru the door. And Welcome to the R1 board!! Everyone here is very helpful and know everything!!
Peace, SB
LOL
I have my 02 R1 coming from Chicago Cycle. I put my deposit down in October and got the bike for $9,150 OTD. This does not include tax and plates. I live in another state and it will be $700 for all. The paper work is all filled out and done. So I will let you know if they try an thing funny when I go to pick it up.
bmsnu 02-10-2002, 11:05 AM It was nice to meet you last nite at the show you seemed like a cool guy those must have been your R1 forum cards on the R1's, they "R" one hot bike. Friday I'm put money down at work for 1. I think I earned it. By the way I don't have any problem with you, just the way your shop runs things, then again somtimes you just have to do what you have to do.;) Can't wait for the spring so we all can enjoy our rides both new and old.
piotrowr 02-13-2002, 04:03 PM Yes, the warm days of Phoenix are sweet! Enjoying the R1 all year round:hellobye
MrViperGTS 02-13-2002, 06:21 PM Lake Hill Motors in Corinth Mississippi sells 2002 R1's in ALL colors for $9,299 out the door - no setup, no ad fees, no destination fees... walk in with 9299, walk out with the bike.
They also advertise this price, so if this other place matches prices, they will have to match it.
If you want to get it from lakehill (lakehillmotors.com), tell them Mike from Massachusetts that bought the illusion blue VTX and the silver R1 sent you - they will take care of you and give you some freebies. They are really good people too!
Hurricane350 02-13-2002, 07:11 PM called. No more silver. I talked to James and he said he might be able to get some from other dealers.... call back in a few weeks.
MrViperGTS 02-14-2002, 01:23 AM Hurricane,
That's too bad... I am #1 in line for a silver R1 and I hope it will come in in the next week or two. I was actually considering not taking the bike, since it's the middle of winter here, and the thought of paying 9 grand for something I can't use for at least 3 months isn't too appealing - but then I came on the forum and saw some folks with their R1's and changed my mind :)
liquidsilver 03-03-2002, 08:13 PM i called on wednesday and put down $300 for a silver r1 to be delivered in april. sales guy called me back friday to say it was in stock ready for me to pick up. amazing!! give them a call. very nice guys to work with.

liquidsilver 03-04-2002, 05:38 AM just to confirm....referring to lakewood hills in mississippi not chicago cycle. sales guy at chicago cycle said i didn't want silver....blue would be worth $1500 more at trade-in time. right.
CLovaR1 03-04-2002, 06:54 AM I was told that the silver would be worth more at trade in time because this is the only year for it. Next year there will be a blue and red and that's it. Only two colors.
lukester100 03-09-2002, 03:03 PM Hmmmm, moves massive amounts of bikes, and from Chicago, I think you must work for "king" jerry. and I use king loosely and it is not capitalized for a reason. The guy is your typical salesman swindler. I'm sure you are the same. jerry advertises cheap prices and then when people walk in the door, he sticks it in them prison style, no spit even, without them ever knowing about it.
Hey people, do me a favor. When you go to buy a bike, ask the salesman how much they charge for set-up/delivery and documentation. Open the book and read the material before judging it by its cover price.
Luke
ps don't try and sell your crap here. this is for PRIVATE parties, not a corporated conglomerate area. If you can't sell stuff with all the floor traffic and ads you have, maybe you should get out of sales, sb.
Even with shipping this guy is going to kick the shit out of any deal in a CA metro area. Even in Vegas they don't want to deal on the one. Although there are other dealers who will match that price, I for one appreciate the info.
turborl7 03-15-2002, 01:09 PM I think you guys need to lighten up and give the guy a break. There's nothing wrong with posting a AD after all this is the for sale section. However one thing that I would've liked to see in the original post was a pricing.
;)
Well my silver R1 finally came in. I said I would post and tell you guys how my deal went with Chicago Cycle.
Let start at the beginning when I worked out my deal in October and put money down. I got the bike for $8,799 then you add all the extras that we so love and ended up with $9,250 out the door minus tax title and license, which I pay and is only $500. I also got the 3-year extended warranty for $400. Yamaha is offering the warranty for half price on the new R1’s. I also received 50 dollars in free merchandise for driving more than 20 miles. They also give you all your parts for 30% over cost for life when you buy from them. With all said and done I am happy with the deal. I would buy from them again. :thumbup
