I should have worded that differently, they will have 2 blitzes a month, (or was it week?) in different counties, until they have hit every county in the state twice. I guess it would have to be 2 a week. Talk about revenue! Blount will be first on June 17th.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Perhaps we will see when the time comes. At least I/we will have reason to be extra safe and cautious on the 17th.
Any others heard anything along these lines?

Yeah, Brian will be in my cabin hopfully by then... so he will be riding with us I'm sure! U still coming down on Thursday night right Brian??? I came up with the idea of going down to Blood Mountain on Friday to stay away from the LEOs. Looks like we'll have about 20 bikes! It's gonna be awesome.

True, you can always hit the cherohala and Highway 28:yesnod. Plus, I plan on doing some exploring early in the week so maybe I will have some more good roads to tell you about by then. Also, hit the gap in the morning before the LEO's get there.

And anther thing, even if the law enforcement is heavy on any certain day the Gap is still fun to ride even at 35 mph, just stay that speed the whole way thru it. You will be surprised at how much fun that is. I have done it and can still drag a knee on lots of the turns. And GXRKLR can do the same. So you don't have to go blazing fast at the Gap for it to be fun:fact

Still planning (if all goes well) to be there Thursday night - probably around 10 PM.
Hmmmm....35 mph... still draggin' a knee?
I like the sound of that.
There's just something about the feeling of a puck hitting the asphalt. If it can happen at 35, then there is SOMETHING positive to be said for riding The Dragon at that speed.
Thanks guys, and see you next week!

Exactly Brian:yesnod 35mph is actually pretty fast in most of the turns at the Gap. MOST people can't even go that fast throught the turns. The thing that you have to do is NOT open up the throttle on the straights, which so many love to do and will get you tickets when the LEO's are in force. just cruise the straights and drag knees in the turns. And all that is right at the speed limit. Can't beat that.
