vrooomr6 06-19-2005, 07:22 PM I'm pretty sure vale46 got more than $200 bucks together from all of you good hearted guys. Bluearewun and I took him to the only Uhaul dealer open today and waited with him till he got all situated. He was planning on renting a trailer and riding back with me, and then riding the bike the rest of the way, but you guys helped him enough that he could rent a truck and not have to ride with his broken wrist at all.
Thats what friends are all about!
SpidermanSS 06-19-2005, 07:29 PM What did you get screwed on James...?
Bobby... I'm adding Porn's name to the list for the fireworks... :fact

I want to say a real big thanks to all that helped out with the Uhaul funds for Vale46.
He and I went to Robbinsville to get a trailer early this morning, and they had a sign posted that they were closed for the whole week. We came back and vrooomR6, vale46 and I managed to squeeze both R1's on my 4' wide trailer and like vrooomR6 said, we found one place open about 5 miles east of Maryville on 321.
He got a F350 Ford with a box bed, and we loaded the bike in the back of the truck and we all 3 hit the road. I took them on a scenic bypass around the bridge work on North I-75 and came out at Lake City, eat dinner and hit the road again about 5pm.
Goran should be close to Indianapolis by now.
I want to especially thank Bill - vrooomr6, for hanging with us today and getting the bikes loaded at Fontana, and then switched to the uhaul in Maryville. I know he probably had planned to get home a little earlier, but thanks again Bill!
What a great bunch a friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

vrooomr6 06-19-2005, 08:23 PM My pleasure helping to get vale46 set up to get home, Doug. I was happy to help and I'm glad that everything worked out. I ended up making it home in time - was going about 90 the whole way, so it worked out fine. It was nice meeting you!

Wonder like Al, thanks for all the laughs and good times (I'll stash an empty carton on your bike next time... fooker!):finger

Gawarrior 06-20-2005, 11:19 AM Hey fellas, this was a great trip for sure! I have some thank yous also to give out. Shane pretty much got them all but I will say some again.
Pete, I can't thank you enough for handling all the food this year.
Dan, for helping up cook each night and also the others who pitched in, Pops, Jerry, Pete, Joe and more I am sure I am forgetting.
kevap for buying the drinks.
southern118 for the prizes and putting together the white water rafting trip.
GXRKLR for getting the shirts together for us.
ZRider for taking us all over North Carolina on tuesday, and for have tons and tons of GREAT ideas all the time:yesnod
Larry for all the drinks and laughs:lol
Shane, larry, Mike, Jerry, Plimmer, and Ned for going dirtbiking with me and BK. That was an amazing time for sure. :yesnod
And finally, I would like to thank Shane again, but for having the forum so that all of us can enjoy it and do things like this trip. Without all his hardwork and time he puts into this place we would not be able to even do this. Most of you have no idea the time and money that he puts in for us to have this place here. And also for his and all the McCoy's support of this trip. It is one thing for them to provide a forum for all of us, but a another thing for them to come hang out and be as excited as all the rest of us at this convention.
I know all of us have made new friends at this event and seen old ones. That is the core reason I put this trip on and plan to do so for years to come. I have met some of my best friends in my life from this forum and from this convention, and this year was no different. Thanks again to everyone that helped in anyway and I look forward to a bigger and better Convention Next year!!!
Chad

You don't need to go fast on the dragon to have fun--My best ride was doing 45 on the dragon the entire way in 2nd gear, using no brakes. You can lean into every corner, and drag you knee everytime.
Punchy351 06-20-2005, 11:40 AM Hey Guys--
I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved with this years convention--Since this was the first time being with the group, I will be there every year now.
The food was awesome--Were else are you going to get Steak, BBQ Chicken, and BBQ Pork for dinner? Way to go Pete!:thumbup
Thanks to Ned for all the laughs! you are NEVER to old to ride a sprot bike--R1 that is!
Thanks to Eddy, Steve and Chad for going on a great ride on the Cherihola. I hope to meet up with you guys again later this year!
Chad--I was disappointed with you that you didn't go on the midnight ride! Willy and I had a awesome time--gixxrkiller caught up with us, and was disappointed you were not there!
An a special Thanks to all the McCoys--Shane and his wife and kids, Mike and his wife and family, Jerry and his wife, and Randy with his wife--Thanks for putting on my mirrors--Thay are awesome! Thanks for taking us to the stunt show on Sunday. Liz and I had a great time.
I will be the 2nd to say we should expand the convention--heck even 2 weeks isn't long enough! I better start saving up my vacation!
It was glad to meet eveyone, and I WILL be back next year!

there is a poll for some of yall
ZRider 06-20-2005, 08:13 PM I heard some rumors that someone stunted a skateboard move on the Gap.Who did it and where are the pictures? That's one thing that I want to see.
Yeah Eric, that's the bike I was talking about..very detailed when you look at it......I undertand it makes some extra ponies too.
We need a list of everyone that came to the convention by screen name, real name, town or area with phone number. Blue Ar Won...did you get a list started? That way we can look each other up if we are traveling.
One more thing while I have the floor.......we all need to carry emergency info on us when we ride. It would also be a good idea
to have emergency information and a contact list for each person that attends a gathering. I can see somebody calling 411 and saying " I need Uncle Ned's phone number and wife's name.........he's fallen down and can't get up;)
Southern118 06-20-2005, 08:15 PM i will make a data base with everyones info if they are willing to email it to me

We need a list of everyone that came to the convention by screen name, real name, town or area with phone number. Blue Ar Won...did you get a list started? That way we can look each other up if we are traveling.
Yea Ned, I've been working on one on MS Excel spreadsheet. Getting what I could from the profiles page and what I wrote down last week. If James wants to do one, that will work, too.
It's back to work this morning for me, and it's back to work on my birthday, should have took off today too!.
Doug.

Yeah, Ned always has good ideas about everything. Stuff I would never think about. Ned on a trip is always a must:yesnod And the thing about it is that most of the ideas don't cost anything.
Crankshaft 06-21-2005, 09:59 AM Definately Big Thanks to Robin for all her cleanup efforts.
