I am in the process of installing the racing baffles in my stock exhaust and am wondering if I will hurt anything by firing up the bike with the exhaust cans off. Just won't to see what it sounds like.

i was told no back pressure would hurt the engine....i dont know. I have started mine without the exhaust but it was for about 2 seconds to make sure i had everything hooked up properly. i dont know the official answer though

So I did fire it up without the cans and holy jesus I still have a hard on, thing sounded like a demon. But finished up with the racing baffles and put them on, thing sounds sweet. At idle it sounds alot deeper and throatier. Haven't had it out on the road yet but I will play with it on the way to work tonight. Wasn't planning on getting a Power Commander, heard I didnt really need one for that mode. Anyone hear otherwise?
