Hey everyone,
I've been without a bike for a couple of years, but now have an '02 Silver R1 on the way. I'm definately excited! I have a couple of buddies here in Austin w/ R1s ('99 & '00) and was curious if Anyone else was in the area. I'm looking to put together a good group once I'm back in the saddle!
By the way, A large Yamaha dealer in San Antonio, who says he has a "friend in logistics" (could easily be another B.S. rumor), says that the first shipment of 6000 '02s are all blue, and that in our region anyway, we wont be seeing silvers until early Mar.

hey Thommy.
Disclaimer: I've never been to Bike Night myself, but I've heard about it. There are ALL kinds of bikes there (I figured Thommy would like that since he also rides a Harley) :cool:, but I also heard there are quite a few squids around. I guess I need to go and check it out to give a better update.
Here's the link off of austin360.com: http://www.austin360.com/shared/recreation/calendar/events.html?id=Calendar::Event%3d7006
Every other week is at Mozart's and then the off weeks are at Jo's on S. Congress I believe. This week's Bike Night is at Mozart's on Lake Austin Blvd. Starting around 6:30pm. I'm not sure if I can make it yet though. If anyone does go, let me know how it turns out.

I've been once when it was at Jo's. There was about 25 or so sportbikes plus all the other kinds. the people I talked to said it was a slow night. At Mozart's its supposed to be mainly sportbikes. I'll probably be there on Wednesday.
