Im curious to know what to lube the internals of the exup valve with? Also is there anythin that i should or shouldnt do when i take the exup valve to bits? Reason i ask is i got this week off and im going to do a few bits and pieces on the bike to keep it in order. Cheers Paul

I just clean the bushing/bearing area with a scotch-brite pad and reassemble. Put never-sieze on the bolts and don't overtighten the cables.

copper grease is fine, I see you have a 02/03. The easiest way to clean the bushings on that year is to remove the pulleys and insert a long screw in the end of each and spin them with a drill to burnish the bushings, no need to disassemble. Bend the ends of the anti-rattle spring so they line up with each other as shown in the pic. Use the copper grease on all the external pivots and sliding surfaces behind the pulleys.
