ON the raffle tickets...I will have a book of "x" number of tickets for each $20 you pay. So the more books you buy the better your chances will be to win something. We will lay out all the prizes and you will be able to put however many tickets you want into a bucket for each prize. Then we will draw tickets to see who wins what. As of now I am not sure how many each book will have...depends on how many prizes we have and how many people buy tickets.

As much as I want to take the 600RR back down when we go back on april 26th, I will probably take the new LE down to see what that bike will do! Ok, I want to throw this out there as a suggestion for the Raffle drawing. I am leaning towards putting all the raffle money I get into one big pot and putting all of it towards one BIG gift Certificate to McCoy's www.tobefast.com. Reason I am leaning this way is a couple of things really. Main reason is that we have a LOT of great stuff that we are already giving away in the free prize giveaway and just about everyone should get something there. PLus, as of now we have $1080 in the raffle fund. That would be one heck of a good gift certificate at McCoy's. It is either that or buy a lot of just smaller stuff and draw for that. Please let me know your thoughts on this. If most are cool that is what I will do. Thanks, chad

Good to hear that you are still riding--Riding season has not come here yet--It is just now getting into the 50s on a daily basis. It would be nice to have the riding seaon long like you guys, but the roads here in PA don't compare to the roads in alot of southern states. In other words, I'll take the 8 months riding season with great roads verses 12 months of staright line riding! Marty

That way more people win it than just one, and if they've never ordered from McCoys before, then McCoys pick up more than just 1 new customer.

Change of plans for the food for the convention. Our cook has had something come up so I am having to find another plan for the dinners each night. I talked to Fontana Village and they are going to handle this for us this year. They will cook the food and we will pick it up each night. We are going to start with simple things early in the week like sandwiches and hot dogs and hamburgers. Then maybe progress into some nicer dinners by thursday and friday. I am working on someone donating the funds to cover the Steak dinner for saturday night as we speak. If that works out the $40 per person will still cover all the food and actually get you food every night of the convention, monday-saturday. If for some reason I cannot get the saturday dinner donated I may have to collect a little bit more money from everyone...but I am hoping not to do so. So, PLEASE get me your food money in ASAP!!! This is when everyone hangs out each night and all the bsing goes on. You will spend more money and time doing your own food if than going this route. Thanks, chad

Hey gawarrior! Paypal sent $60. Yup - I'ma be there this June!!! WOOT!!! My wife & kids will be there too, but I don't think they'll join me for meals... just in case, I don't mind paying for her, even if she doesn't eat, but what about the kids (ages 9 & 10)?

Honestly, you are going to come out a lot better off by paying for them than trying to buy your own food and trying to eat on your own. Fontana is going to be cooking all the food for us so there will be good dinners every night. Just let me know, I have you down at just you right now, but I can update it:thumbup Thanks!! Just read the part about the raffle opinions... IMO, I'd rather have a few more raffles with lower prize money only because I NEVER win any raffles - at least this way I'd have a better chance.

Cold cuts = not bad Hot Dogs / Hamburgers - as long as they're grilled, you can't go wrong with that. Chicken Fingers - I'm not feeling this one, but hell, I'll eat anything. Meatloaf - yeah, ok. not everyone likes it, but I think it's great. BBQ - oh man, now you're talking. Is it going to be catered from a local joint, or made there at Fontana? BBQ is a real hit or miss depending on who is making it, and what type you're getting. Shredded? Shoulder? Steak - mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. hope the chef knows what he/she is doing. It's hard to be a critic when the meals are such a bargain. Any desserts planned out? Cake? Pudding? Jello? Ice Cream? Cookies? Just trying to think of some that are good and can be made / obtained in huge quantities. What kind of suggestions are you looking for at the moment? Other alternatives to dinner entrees?

YEah, other alternatives to the entrees, and also some suggested sides. From the menu I posted that is the kind of food they have. EAch meal should come with some kind of dessert, but I have to make sure on that and find out what they are. The BBQ is from Fontana but a local joint does it up and the lady I was talking to was really praising it highly!!! She is local so I take here word for it! We have to stay in the budget, but maybe I cna look into some bbq chicken and maybe some pork chops to substitute a couple of those meals. what ya'll think aobut that? Again, it is if the budget allows for it.

pork chops are tough to get right, but again, given the right cook, they are awesome if done correctly. As far as sides go, here's some more suggestions (going off of memory of our local bbq here): Green Beans Baked Beans Corn Corn Bread Biscuits Sweet Potato Casserole Slaw (mayo/vinegar) Corn on the cob Potatoes Au Gratin Macaroni & Cheese Pinto Beans Chili Fruit Salad Broccoli Casserole Potato Casserole

Something easy like chicken breast or nuggets, fish sandwich, or a couple of hot dogs would do me just fine in place of the meatloaf and BBQ nights along with a vegetable of some sort.
