Hey guys, I'm looking to get a good rate for my bike. Can anyone tell me where I can go to insure my bike in Ontario. I'm 32 and have been insured for the past 8yrs. My policy just expired and I wanted to see if I can get a better rate. My present insurance broker forgot to re-new my policy and now he has to try to see if he can get me the same rate. I was paying $1300 per year for Liability fire and theft. Thanks.

from my experience, State farm is the best if you can get them to take you.

There's only really 3-4 players in the business in Ontario anyways...Primmum is ok if you have been with them already, but from what I've heard they are not looking for new business and will give you an outrageous quote (ie: sure we'll insure you, for 4 grand a year)...State Farm is good if you have everything with them and a spotless record...otherwise your brker probably will use kingsway...

3 grand is stupid....what does a 20 y.o pay? I'm 34 y.o. and pay $1600/yr full coverage on my '03 R1 w/ Primmum.

No not at all but if you do insure your car as well your motorcycle rate should drop another $100 or so because you can't drive both vehicles at once. They do have great rates on cars as well and I'm putting my car on the same policy soon to save the extra cash. My experience with them has been good and they were very helpful over the phone.

RBC told me that I had to have had my full 'M' license for 5 years before they could insure me. They also jacked up my GF's car rates by 60% (!!!) when she changed her address - 10km away in the same city! SO they can lick my 'taint - glad you're happy with them though. I know others who are (car only though). LUCKY - did you get my PM?
