Ive got about 150 to 200 miles on them. I was washin the bike the other day and noticed a cut in the tire. its a real thin slit about an inch and a half long going across the tire. Id post a picture, but I dont know how.

I bought mine about 2k miles ago and haven't noticed any problems with mine. I don't do a lot of canyon or tracks though.

more than likely you just ran over something that done that. I have almost 5,000 miles on my set and the rear is fixing to show threads. I have noticed some very small damage done but they have worn out after all the mileage. Many of my friends ride on these and we all love them.

This one looks more like it was from something I ran over.

I have a friend with a gsxr600 2005 that had a few cuts on his rear tires more or less like that...nothing major no air coming out and didnt get bigger
i guess it was something on the road when warm ...im on my second set and didnt see anything on mines until now

I have the same type of mark on mine. no issues though. did about 120mi at my last track day with no ills. I think it may be from the casting process.

I've had that on many tires over the yrs/miles I've ridden...no biggie but keep watching it to make sure nothing more happens...more than likely it will be fine

I had a slit similer to that--Wasn't in deep, so I had nothing to worry as I put 5500 miles on them. I am now on the second set, and will never use another tire ever again!
