Title Self Explanatory. I'm buying a new bike in the coming months and I'm wondering if I should just buy the sliders that Yamaha has already!?!?

Ok, I just saw that the fram sliders that Yamaha.com has are GYT-5VY33-00-BK. So, anybody prefer these?

I just crashed on the street with yamaha frame sliders. Was going about 30 on a cold day making a turn when the rear tire broke loose and before I could react I high sided. The damage would have been substantially worse without the sliders, but it was more than I would have expected. The sliders wore down enough while the bike was sliding that it just got into my lower fairing and engine case. I'm guessing that with a harder slider (aluminum perhaps (?)) that wouldn't have worn so much, I would have walked away with almost no damage.

From what I've heard, the problem with harder-metal for example, sliders is that they can dig into the pavement causing the bike to flip. It's a tradeoff. My 2 cents.

the Yamaha GYTR sliders are made by Graves Motorsports. Great Product by a great manufacture.
