So I bought the steering stem model front stand. Well its suppose to be universal (comes with all the different sized colars).. well my luck none of the colars fit right. The one was a hair too big and wouldn't go in the sterring stem, the next closest one was too small and allowed the lift to hit the plastic. I don't know if it was a bad batch or 2 different sets of stands but anyways long story short... it now works but they had to machine it down to fit. So as a review good stand don't expect it to fit your 04..06 r1.

I'm a bit uncertain as to which manufacturers stand you are referring to. When you say "Bikelift" stands is that the name of the company?

You mentioned that it lifts the bike at the steering stem as opposed to underneath the forks but no brand (i.e. Pit Bull, Woodcraft, Vortex, etc.). I was under the impression that most manufacturers have a reference chart that require you to match your bikes make/model with the correct size pin.

Just looking for some clarification as to avoid any potential headaches. Thanks in advance.
