There's quite a few people I ride with from the Minneapolis area. We make our way into Wisconsin pretty often to hit up the alphabet roads.

There is a VERY slight chance I may be moving back. Emphasis on slight. If the wife and myself decided to have kids any time soon, we'll probably be moving back to be closer to family. Although I really don't want to. :(

I agree 100% That is what I am hoping for too, but everyone says that March is our heavy snow fall season...Hope not. I am so sick of doing wheelies in my head and balancing the bike off the kick stand in the garage and timing myself!! LOL

Count me in for a ride.

I went from a 600 katana to an r1 and people give me so much shit for it. I also tell people that I have been ridding dirt bikes since I was 5, and they still dont think Im ready for an R1. So almost no matter what people will say be careful on an R1 no matter your exerience. As long as you dont get hurt, who cares that the R1 is your first bike.

Have you had it out this year yet? I took it out on friday and saturday. Keep watching this post, Ill let you know when we are going out to ride

I was out on Saturday. The weather channel said it was 63 degrees! It was actually a really nice day to ride. I wasnt able to jam on the wheelies like I wanted because it was pretty windy, but nonetheless I snuck a few in.

Did any of you guys get out?

Yeah, I agree with you entirely. I had a dirtbike for a while in high school and anyone who says ridding dirt doesn't mean anything when ridding street is on crack. Given the bikes are completely different, I think I learned a great deal because I was much more daring with the the dirtbike. I think it helps teach you your limits. On the street, I don't really mess around as it seems like there is more to lose.

I haven't had it out yet this year, but have started her up. Recently changed the plugs and fuel filter. Made a world of difference - she sounds angry for being couped up in the cold garage all winter . Need to take care of the chain and change the oil, and she will be good to go. Just got back from Jamaica otherwise I probably would have taken it for a quick ride this last weekend as it was pretty warm. I'll keep an eye on this post to see when you guys ride. Is there a lot of people that just get together from this forum and others?

I just bought my r1 fairly recently so im not really sure if people really get together and ride from this forum...but thats why I started this thread because my friends dont have bikes like the r1, they have bikes like 600 nijas and stuff like that. so when i want to get on the throttle they just get so far back and i have to wait up for them (although its a good ego boost, sometimes you wanna just go fast and not wait up) so anyways, i want to ride with more people that have r1's etc for hat reason. I hopping between my friends and the r1 people im trying to meet here we can assemble a fun crew and just go out and cruise and shit like that.:riding :riding

It is suppoed to start getting really nice after friday so Im gonna take out my bike and my summer cars and start enjoying the warmer weather.

Now if it would quit raining.

Just got my bike out Friday for the first time this year, but not without difficulties. As I was dewinterizing it, I found that I must have picked up screw with my rear tire on one of my last rides last year Had to buy a new rear tire, but got it out on the road shortly after.

This weekend, some of us from Minnesota will be going over to hit 35, then down to Wabasha. Cross over and hit 60, which is a blast to ride.

Any of you guys up for meeting us in Prescott?
